Chapter 2: Drifting dreams

(I dedicate this chapter to TrishLight for she was the first person to ever vote and comment on this story :) hope you enjoy guys and hope you don't mind)

Natsu POV
"Let's finish this mission" said Lucy enthusiastically
I nodded and ginned back at her and she quickly turned around to walk out of the infirmary and I soon followed her with Happy walking behind but I couldn't help but feel something was a little off about Lucy today but I pushed that at the back of my mind as soon as we went outside. Lucy then stopped infront of me and I almost bumped into her.
"Now it says here they come out at night time...strange..." She said in a confused tone
"What?" I asked curiously
"I have read all about goblins and they never wait for a specific time to attack..."
'What was she talking about' I thought to my self. whenever Lucys mumbles about books I get seriously confused but that's what I like about her, she's smart!

(note: Natsu is known for his stupidity so he is completely unaware of most things...Baka...lol) 


I then smelt a sweet sensaition through my nose and I noticed Happy drooling in the same direction and there it was a food stand. Lucy was still mumbling but she soon turned around and I knew what was coming.
"Guys we don't have time for this" she said annoyed
"But I'm hungry" cried Happy who was eying the fish
"come on Luce I promise I'll share" I begged
"Like I want any" she said again annoyed
Happy and I gave her pleading eyes and she just sighed
"Fine..."
And in an istant we bought what ever we could afford and ate like there was no tomorrow, that is until we heard a crash.
"HELP!" a woman yelled
Lucy, Happy and I saw small little green things terrorizing the village.
"Now this is what i'm talking about" I girnned
"Natsu now is not the time to celebrate" Said Lucy
I ignored her and quickly ran up to the goblins
"RAOR OF THE FIRE DRAGON"
"Hey isn't that going over board" Lucy yelled
"Eheh don't worry most of them are gone" I smiled
She looked like she was about to relax then she suddenly gasped
"What?" I asked
I then turned around and the gobins I destroyed came back but there seem to be more of them.
"Eh??" I said
"T-T-Th-They came back" stuttered Lucy
"ARRRRRRGH" I yelled as I had fists full of fire

No ones POV

"B-Baka" (idiot, stupid, weird, dummy ETC) said Lucy after Natsu's actions 
Lucy sighed and said
"I guess I have no choice"
Lucy then got out her keys and said
"OPEN THE GATE OF THE GOLDEN BULL...TAURUS" 
Then Taurus the bull came out with a loud moo (lol moo) 
"Taurus destroy the goblins attacking the town" ordered Lucy
"Your body is looking as nice as ever" siad Taurus in a flirty way (he's a pervert)
"Not now Taurus"
"As you wish" 
and with that Taurus swung his axe, he hit a couple of goblins and he was doing it rather easy and with no sweat at all but then Lucy noticed something, as Taurus and Natsu attacked the goblins they just kept coming back.
"Natsu..." said Lucy who was trying to get his attention
Natsu was still trying to dim down the number of goblins and you could tell he was getting frustraited
"Nat...AH" yelled Lucy who was suddenly interuppted
A couple of Goblins surrounded Lucy and they all clapped their hands together and some kind of dust came out.

Natsu POV

I was fighting a couple of little maggots and just as I was about to punch about five of them they suddenly dissappeard
"Eh?" I said to myself confused
"YAY way to go Natsu" cheered Happy
"Hey Lucy..." I called out still confused, scratching my head
Then I saw one of Lucy's Spirts dissappear back to where it came from and after he dissappeared I saw Lucy. I ran up to her and said
"Hey Luc...eh"
she stumbled and fell forwards and in an instinct I caught her.
"Lucy?" I said as I shook her
she didn't look hurt and she was still breathing then I heard the villagers come out of hiding and I heard a woman say.
"The poor thing..."
"Just like the rest" I heard a man say
"Natsu..." I heard Happy say quietly

(4 Minutes later (Imagine that in the spongebob voice when they say 1 hour later lol))

"Hey!"
I yelled as I bashed in the Mayors front door
"Your back so soon" replied the mayor
I then saw a shocked yet worried look in his eyes when he saw Lucy in my arms
"come with me" he said suddenly serious

(In the infirmary) 

I saw the nurse shake her head and the mayor just sighed.
"Lucy..." sniffed Happy
"I'm afraid she is just like the others...I don't know when she is going to wake up" said the nurse
I was heating up, those little maggots were gonna get it.
"I'LL DESTROY EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM WITH MY FLAMING FISTS"
"Now calm down it's not certain she'll wake but most people do..." said the Mayor "for now just be paitient..."
I didn't want to be paitient, I wanted to see Lucy. So I just slumped down on the chair next to Lucy's bed and Happy layed down at the end of her bed. I looked back at Lucy who's Blond hair layed down lifelessly on the bed but she seemed normal enough but I just sighed.

(Dream)

"Papa, Mama, can I go play outside again?" the little blond girl asked as she finished her lunch
"Sure you can sweety but do be careful...okay" answerd back a tall beautiful blond woman
"Okay but stay in the grounds" said a tall serious man with a stern voice
The little girls eyes lit up and she skipped out the door and went to the fountain and started picking flowers. Little did she know she was being watched by the samll rosie haired boy who was behind the bush again, the little girl walked over to the bush to pick a flower and she saw the boy. the boy just jumped back. The girl smiled and he smiled back.
"You cam back" said the girl with a smile
the boy didn't know what to say, he was embarrassed but the girl quickly took his hand and dragged him out of the bush. 
"What do you want to play today?" Asked the girl eagerly
"Hide and seek" said the boy enthusiastically 
"Okay...i'll count" insisted the girl 
"1...2..." 
and at that the boy ran off somewhere while the little girls eye were shut tight.
"5...6...7...8...9...10...Here I come" yelled the girl.
She looked everywhere behind the bush, the trees, the fountain and even behind the gardening shed but the boy was nowhere to be seen. the girl was just about to give up until she heard rustling. 
"Huh?" she said, looking in all directions
Then a loud thud landed behind her
"EEEP" the girl gave a little shreak
she turned around to find the boy on the ground with his face in the dirt. the girl giggled
"What's so funny" said the boy who eventually sat up right.
"You're funny" 
the boy pouted and thre leaves at her, she stumbled to the ground and laughed and he couldn't help but laugh too...

(dream end) Lucy POV


"That dream..." I mumbled to myself
My head feels all groggy and I am in an unknown place...in an unknown bed, I looked around the room and the only thing that lit up the place was the lamp next to my bed then I heard snoring, I looked at the end of my bed and Happy was there curled up in a little ball, I smiled, then I turned to my right and I saw Natsu sound asleep on a chair and then I realised it's morning, I'm in the hospital and I figured out why it's so dark, the curtains were closed.
"what happened..." I mumbled to my self
Then It all came back to me! I was surrounded by goblins and they suddenly clapped their hands and that's when I got dizzy...I must of fell asleep...just like the other paitients, I sighed.
"so who brang me..." I said realising how stupid I can be
Natsu was the one who brang me here, why else would he be sleeping on a chair beside me...not like he hasn't done it before...he's done worse...I gave a glance to Natsu and he was peacfully asleep...I couldn't help but think he looks cute when he is sleeping...wait why didn't I notice this before he is always sleeping in my bed or on the floor of my house....but I guess I do always end up kicking him out, hehe i guess it's a natual reflex...WAIT did I just call him cute?
"Hey Lucy..." I heard a sleepy Natsu voice say
"W-W-When did you wake up" I stuttered...why was I stuttering
"Eh....about 10 seconds ago and you were making all these weird faces...you okay?" He asked still sleepy
My face was gettting hot and I am glad it's a little dark in here or otherwise Natsu would see my probably red face but I calmed my self down.
"Yeah I'm fine just a little dizzy...hmmm what happened"
Natsu paused for second like he didn't know what I was talking about then he realised what I was talking about...He is an idiot sometimes.
"Well I was about to give a beating to the little green maggots until they suddenly dissappeared...I turned around and I saw one of your spirits dissappear and that's when I was about to call your name but you fell so I ran up and catched you...then I carried you to the Infirmary" He said in a casual voice
I was a little embarrased but I felt sad I was one of those people who woke up from the goblin attacks but I just smiled and said
"Arigatou" (Thank you)
Natsu opened his eyes a little wider but he soon gave me a goofy grin.
"Well i'm fine now...maybe we should we should head back to the guild to get more answers about these guys and come back with a bit of help..." I asked softly
Natsu seemed to be thinking about it but he just sighed
"Sure if you think so..." 
I then felt something move at my feet
"Eh..."
I saw happy waking up with sleepy eyes but his eyes quickly widened as he yelled
"LUCY"
He jumped into my chest hugging me like there was no tomorrow.
"Eheh it's okay Happy" I replied
"I thought you were going to sleep forever" he sniffled 
I couldn't help but smile and pat his head.

(2 hours later and yet again imagine that in the spongebob voice thing) 

After we explained to the mayor we were going back to Fairy Tail to get a bit more help an information we told him not to worry, we will help your town. He said he would send us a message if anything happened and with that we left on the train...Natsu's motion sickness kicked in again and he looked like he was going to hurl.
"Hang in there Natsu" said Happy while fanning his face with a fan.
"Like I said last time we are almost there" I said slightly annoyed but he couldn't help it, it was his weakness after all.
"The train stopped!" yelled Happy
"Come on Natsu..." I sighed
Happy was pulling Natsu out the train door and I followed and yet again it took Natsu some time to adjust from his motion sickness but he was okay  now. We walked over to the guild and everyone greeted us back.
"Back so soon?" Asked Erza who was suprised with out early return
"There were a few minor difficulties...but we are going back to finish the job..." I replied
"You haven't finished it?" said Erza a little worried now
"yeah turns out these goblin..." 
I feel dizzy again I stumbled
"Lucy..." Said Erza confused
I fell...I was falling into darkness.
"Lucy!...someone..." 
Was the last thing I heard.
