Chapter 20

AJ'S POV:
"Oh god no..." Paige trembled.
"What? What is it? No wait...don't tell me!" I shouted nervously.
Paige and I were watching "The Conjuring". I've never seen it before, but she has.

"Are you sure?" She shouted back, pulling a blanket up to her chin.
"Yes I'm....."

My phone lit up and started to ring. Paige frowned at me and paused the movie. I started to stand up and pace around as I answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"April this is an emergency," the voice on the other line half whispered.

Before I could start walking around the hotel room and touch everything in sight like people usually do while talking on the phone, I stopped.

"Well I'm guessing so considering you called me by my real name," I replied.
Paige raised her eyebrows and a look of concern took over her face. I turned my back to her and began pacing around again.

"You have no idea," the Bella sighed.

"Well what's wrong?"

"It's kinda hard to explain...I mean..I'd rather do it in person...just becau...."

"ARE YOU PREGNANT?" I screamed into my phone. With that, Paige sprung up from the couch and raced over to me, tripping on the blanket and almost knocking me over.

"Nicole oh my God!!!! Boy or girl?!?!?" the crazy Brit exclaimed as she jumped up and down.

"I told you this was a bad idea," Colby groaned in the background. We heard a loud "shush" and a sigh.

"No, no, no! Just come to Room 738....now!" And then the line went dead.

"She's totally pregnant!" Paige squeled. I nodded my head and smiled like an idiot. Nicole always gushed about how she wanted Colby to be the father of her children. Even before they were dating. We would be walking backstage and we would notice Colby warming up for his match. Nicole would sigh, clutch her chest, and say, "God I want that man to be the father of my babies."

Then again.....maybe she just wanted his dick...

JOE'S POV:
I feel sick, but I keep chugging down beer after beer. My vision starts to become blurry and my mind is slowing down. Good. I don't even want to think about what Brie must be going through right now. I don't even know what to do. I'm not good in situations like this.

I remember one time...Jon, Colby, and I. We were all walking the streets of Chicago late at night after we left a bar. I wasn't entirely drunk, Colby only a little more than I was, but Jon was completely wasted. It took everything Colby and I had in us to keep Jon up and moving. He was almost passed out and drooling on himself like an idiot.

With no idea where we were headed to, we trudged on. Before long it started to drizzle. The soft rain drops felt like heaven to me. After all, I was sweating and over tired. It felt nice for awhile until it started to pour. The cold, hard rain hitting me felt like I was being pelted with little needles. I felt like I was in some dramatic movie.

I could tell Colby was feeling the same way. The pained look on his face said it all. Without saying a word, we both dragged Jon over to an alleyway. We sat down in the alley and waited for the rain to stop. Out of nowhere, Colby just burst out laughing. I don't know why, I started laughing too. It was one of those uncontrolable laughs that was almost contagious.

The next thing I knew, the sun was shining and I felt like shit. I looked over and saw Colby, sound asleep. He looked so peaceful, I chuckled. Then I realized. Jon was gone. The hungover Lunatic Fringe was on the loose.

Long story short, it took four days to find him. Paige was beyond pissed at me. She told me it was all mine and Colby's fault. That she told him not to go out to a bar that night but we dragged him anyway. I thought he was gone forever, honestly.

I tipped my head back and took a deep breath. The smell of beer lingered around me and I reached for another can. I couldn't even tell if anyone was trying to cut me off, or if they even cared. Whatever. I sighed and kept on drinking.
