The first one to move is Tarun.
He flies over to the red and black glass shards and makes them levitate with his shadowy magic.
Alex, Maven, Kazi, and I start cooling down and our mythical forms start to retract back into us. My eyes return to yellow and the ice retreats.
I sigh and walk over to Dean who is crouching on the floor with his hands over his ears and his eyes closed whispering something to himself.
"Dean?" I gently say.
He cracks open his eyes and he starts to cry. He doesn't make a noise though just tears streaming down his face. I help him to his feet and he collapses against me. My heart shatters for him.
I walk him over to the guest bedroom and help him lay on the bed.
He pulls the covers over his head and starts quietly sobbing.
I don't say a word as I turn on the AC and close the door.
I take a seat on the couch, across from Maven with Alex and Kazi sitting next to me. Tarun is sitting on Maven's shoulder while slowly moving the glass shards into a green-stained jar on the coffee table in front of us. He fastens the lid and relaxes his hands.
"What the hell just happened." I say.
"I don't even know." Kazi says.
"Capri just admitted she was spying on us then we all got pissed and started to change then she basically killed herself." Maven explains.
We all nod in agreement.
"But what was that metallic stone she squeezed?" Alex asks.
"It was a Evloc stone. It allows you to commit suicide if you squeeze it with both hands. You gotta activate it by squeezing with one hand first then a few seconds late you have to squeeze with both hands then boom, dead." Kazi explains.
"It could've been a teleport crystal glamoured to look like a Evloc stone." I say.
"Nah it's wasn't, I examined the shards with my magic, her soul really is in the glass. It was a real Evloc stone." Tarun says.
"Can't we just talk to Capri from the shards?" I ponder.
"We can but it takes powerful magic. And blood." Tarun says.
"You guys okay with that?" I ask the group.
They all nod.
"Wait Tarun are you powerful enough?" I ask while Maven goes to get a knife to cut our palms.
"Well of course I am. Don't underestimate me." He laughs.
I laugh and glance over at the red and black glass shards.
We will need the blood of everyone that saw her die and Tarun's magic.
That means getting Dean's blood as well.
Shite.
I sigh deeply and realise I am still in shock from Capri basically dying. I almost feel guilty for not crying. I've never been an emotional person and I sure as hell didn't cry when my family was ripped away from me. That does sound a little worrisome and like I've got some sick illness but I just don't cry. Okay okay yes I did when I saw Maven again but I didn't expect that like I expected my family to be executed. ANYWAYS getting back to Dean and blood.
I gingerly open the guest bedroom door and hear faint snoring coming from the bed.
I really don't want to wake him. His girlfriend just died, basically. Well not really because her soul is still inside the glass shards but you get what I mean.
"Dean?" I whisper as quietly as I can.
He rolls over and mumbles something incoherent.
"Dean?" I repeat and poke his cheek.
He cracks open one eye and glares at me.
"What? I need your blood."
"Wha? My blood? Why in hell would you need my blood?" Dean asks and sits up, rubbing his eyes.
"Well you see, there is a way to still talk to Capri again." I say as his eyes tear up at the mention of her name.
"Sorry but the only way is to get blood from everyone who saw her go." I explain as he offers me his arm.
"Take what you need. I don't care, I just wanna see her again." He says.
I nod and smile as I take his wrist and lead him into the living room.

"Everyone ready?" Tarun asks us all.
We all nod as Tarun closes his eyes and brings his arms out in front of him. He draws blood from the slices we made along our inner wrists. He bends the blood of Maven, Dean, Alex, Kazi, and I into a ball and whispers something in Fae language as the glass shards float from the jar and mix with the blood.
The combination of glass and the blood ball turns black and drops to the floor.
A obsidian sphere, about the size of a bowling ball sits on the ground and begins to roll slowly away from us.
"Where's it go-" Dean says but is cut off by Tarun shushing him.
"Be silent. She is confused and weak."
Dean stops talking.
She?
After a few minutes of confused silence and an obsidian ball rolling around the room, Tarun speaks;
"Okay she is stable enough. We can move and talk now."
"What do you mean her?" Maven asks.
"The ball. It's Capri." Tarun says just as I remember our holographic clocks, still counting down.
8 hours left.
