I followed Franklin into the house. He placed the unconscious girl on a couch. He turned and said, "Now, when she comes to, there won't be any flirting, you hear me Trevor?"
I sighed, "Is that was you take me for? We don't even know what she looks like. She could be ugly as a horse." We laughed. We sat and waited. At about 11 pm, Franklin got a call from Simeon. He put it on speaker, but told me to let him handle it.
"Hello old friend. I believe there was a misunderstanding, why don't you and your hideous friend come down to the store so we can have a little chat?"
"There is nothing to say, Simeon. I was going to keep to myself but you stole my property. You know I'm not the kind of man to take that bullshit." Franklin said into the phone.
"Yeah!" I added. "You old prick, you got off lucky, this time. But we do have your girl."
"Oh, yes. You did get her. Do what you want with her, I have others. A worker is only as good as their boss makes them. Anyway, I'll see you boys soon." He hung up.
Franklin said, I'm gonna call Lester and tell him I heard from Simeon and he knows we were there. I'm gonna go down there are kill him myself."
And then we heard the couch creak slightly. I signaled Franklin, and he and I both pulled out hand pistols and held them towards her.
Franklin poked her side with his gun. "Hey you, get up. Take that helmet off." He ordered.
The girl sat up, and removed her helmet. Her brown hair was messy from being trapped in it and her face was red with anger. I examined her from behind the wall with my gun lowering as each feature crossed my memory, I fell to my knees.
She wasn't even looking at me, she stood, quickly turning pale. "F... Franklin I.. I didn't know..." The words tumbled out of her mouth. She didn't even notice me, like I wasn't there on my knees around the corner.
Franklin grew confused, he asked, "Thea... What are you doing here? What the fuck are you doing working for Simeon?"
Thea? That isn't her name. I know her name. It echoes in my mind as she shakily reached to her waist band for her gun.
"Don't bother, girl. I already took your shit." Franklin spoke rudely and unforgivingly. "Don't you have enough money working for that asshole?"
"That's none of your FUCKING business." She leaped at him, clawing him and fighting for his gun. I stumbled to my feet towards them.
Franklin shouted, "Trevor shoot her, she's got sharp nails."
When he said that the struggling stopped and she looked up at me. She started shaking again. I looked down at her, and she crawled off of Franklin. I didn't take my eyes off of her as she tried to stand.
"F- firat kidnapped and now a ghost." the words stumbled out of her mouth.
"Tell me about it. I reached for her hands and she allowed me to help her up. When I released her hands, she held on. She looked at me for a long time. "I thought you were dead." I said to her. "You probably thought the same?"
"I knew you were smart enough to stay alive, I just never thought I would have to face you again..." Her eyes filled with tears.
Franklin was unsure if to hold up his gun or leave us alone. He just quietly added "T who the hell is she really?"
I closed my eyes and squeezed her hands. I never thought this moment would happen. I didn't know what to say, how to say it. I decided to not say anything. At least not for now.
