She looks tired and sad. That must have been how she saw me when we were together. Tired of the miscommunication. Sad and trapped by force. She didn't force me to stay, but I forced myself to stay. I never wanted to be the one to kill her. I didn't think she would be alive. She is 5'1, less that 120 pounds, has big brown puppy dog eyes and is a terrible shot. She is an excellent driver which is how she landed a job with Simeon Yetarian, probably.
Speaking of Simeon, Headlights pulled into the driveway, and I peaked to check if it was Franklin, which it was.
I unlocked the door for him, and he wandered in. "It's done." He stated.
Athena stood close behind.
"Well you both must have had a productive time while I was out working." He added.
"Actually, YOU left me here with her. So what we did is your fault."
"Aw man what the hell did you-"
"Nothing." Athena spoke quietly. "We didn't do anything."
He came in, and passed us to the kitchen. Athena and I followed him through the house.
"Is there a reason you two are up my ass?" Franklin asked, getting a beer from the fridge.
I looked into her brown eyes. "Yeah I was wondering what it is we are going to do with her."
He studied her, and than me. "Well since I think you were 'let go' by Simeon, and I know you are 'let go' from the cab company, I think she's gonna need to go job hunting."
"So she isn't our hostage anymore?"
"The plan didn't go as planned, T. Facts are that Simeon is dead and now you got your girlfriend back. So what do you want me to say."
"Well I want to go home and I want to take her with me..." I glanced at her, and her expression didn't change from looking bored and sleepy. "And she is a driver. What is next on the agenda, buddy? Got anymore wrongs to right?"
"T, I'm tired man. We are all tired. Take a few days and enough your freedom. Go lounge by a stranger's pool man, just not mine. I want to be alone."
"So there isn't a plan?" I just wanted to clarify I can go back home. I am not tired though. I am never tired and if anything I am more awake.
Franklin yawned. "Go home Trevor. And you-" he looked at Athena. "Go wherever you go when you're not making a fool outta somebody."
I didn't need to ask, but I wanted to. So I did ask, "What is next?"
He looked annoyed, so I just left. I could hear Athena follow behind me, so I opened the door and held it for her.
"I'll walk you where you have to go." I offered. I didn't want her wandering around Los Santos alone at night.
"I'm not a child Trevor, I can get home alone. I'll take the subway." She began to walk in the street, due to there not being sidewalk. I chased after her. "Fuck off, Trevor. I'll call you when I get home."
"I don't like watching you walk away."
"Then don't look." We walked to the subway. "You don't have to come with me the rest of the way, Trevor. Give me your cell number and I will call you."
"How do I know you will? You remember me right?"
She looked angry, the subway pulled up and I quickly typed my number into her phone. "Please call me. Tell BJ I said hey."
"Trevor, I missed you. Its great to have you back in my life, whatever we are to each other."
"Oh I know what you are to me. What am I to you?"
She got onto the subway, and waved goodbye. I didn't wave back, I don't want to say goodbye to her anymore. Or anyone.
