Christian's P.O.V

It was another boring day in the mansion. I did nothing more than just sit in the study room and gloom for what seems like a lifetime.
I was busy searching the shelves for something to read when I came upon a novel that she loved dearly.

Anastasia

I sighed at the mere thought of her.

I took it up and started reading it. The thought of her made a smile break free on my face.

I was actually missing her presence more than ever, but at the same time I was angry with her for what she did. I should've expected that much being that she wasn't like my kind.

She's a nuisance. Just like her kind.

Being nothing more than the annoying little brat she was. I actually got really use to it, but what she did was unforgivable. It's just like my uncle said.

'She not like us. She's unworthy of our kind.' His voice rang in my head.

I would've been somewhere near her if it wasn't for my uncle, Vlad. In a strange way , I was thankful for that. He opened my eyes for me. Before then, I followed through with my father's wishes to end the war between our people.

Uncle Vlad did say that she was no good and that she would tarnish our family name but recently I was starting to think otherwise.............until she did what she did and then bailed out on me with out so much of an explanation.

I guess he was right, none of them cannot be trusted. They've already proven that with the generations of betrayal. And to believe that I actually thought different for her!

None of them can be trusted. They'll betray you, just as she betrayed you.

The rain started pouring down and it streamed down on the windows, which the cool air condensed .

The rain shared my mood right now. I was bored and confused. I was.....dear I say it...........

I heard a loud thud coming from downstairs and I figured that it must be one of our pesky neighbors.

I finally got up to check on what that sound was coming from.

It didn't bother me at all, I read most of those novels for about a hundred times already.

I was pretty sure that Vlad must have taken care of everything already but I was bored so I went down the stairs to see for my self. I made sure to take my time to walk down the stairs that stretched far.

I was shock to see that it was Anna that stumbled in through the door.

She was soaking wet and she shivered cold .

What? How dear she come back here?

But I ignored all that and got ready some clothes for her to wear, figuring that she might want to wash up and get into something warm and dry.

I took a walk around the mansion to clear my head. The only things that ran in my mind was the fact that she betrayed me.

But all that didn't matter now that she was here.

That must mean that she have finally come to her senses. She came to finally answer some unanswered questions which incriminated her.

" She came back to explain about what happened" I whispered to myself.
