Hayden's pov

"Yes mom." I sighed as I heard her remind me for the tenth time that I was to move into her friend Janet's house with her daughter.

I didn't want to move in. I mean Janet's daughter was probably exactly the same as what she was, a stuck up bitch that thought she was better than everyone else, but my mom had told me if I didn't she was taking my bike and in no fucking way was that happening.

I dropped off my bike to Dan who was heading passed Driving Danni's anyway and made my way on foot towards the girls house.

There was a car parked in the drive, so assuming she was in I opened the door. The girl was sitting at a table in the kitchen eating takeaway food and she looked up.

Wait, her daughter was Danni?!

We made small talk and she told me that there was food there for me.

"Congrats by the way." She said, giving me a small smile.

"Thanks." I replied awkwardly.

"Anytime."

It was so awkward. It was one thing to have a conversation with her at school, or even the track, it was another having to live with her for a month. She was more relaxed at home than I had ever seen her at school as she made her way to the living room and flipping on the tv. I looked at her in surprise as she turned the Moto GP on and began intently watching the screen. You could tell by the way she was watching she had some idea on what was happening.

I didn't say anything, I just threw myself down in the seat next to her and began watching.

"Oh c'mon Rossi! How could you let that idiot get in front?!" She shouted at the tv.

I chuckled and she looked round at me, her cheeks a bright red. "Um, I-I-" She stuttered.

"Its fine, I just didn't think that this was your type of thing." I said indicating the tv.

"Yeah, its something I like to indulge in when my parents are away." She shrugged, her cheeks turning a brighter red.

"That's fine, I'm glad your not stuck up like your parents." I replied. "No offense." I quickly added on the end.

"Tell me about it, they keep trying to force me into medicine and that's the last thing I ever want to do in my life." She shuddered.

I nodded, glad that she wasn't that type of person.

"Anyway," She said, standing up and walking through to the kitchen, I'm away to bed, I'll see you tomorrow." She added over her shoulder.

"Danni?" I asked.

She stopped and turned to face me.

"Are you coming to the race again tomorrow?" I asked. I don't know why I wanted her to be there, I mean I barely knew her, but something made me feel that I was more confident when she was around.

"I wasn't planning on it, but-" She said.

"Be up and ready for eleven, I'll give you a ride, if you don't mind jumping on the back of my bike." I said.

She smiled and I could see the excitement in hid eyes. "Really?" She asked.

"Yeah," I chuckled.

"Okay, see you in the morning then." She said, giving me a small wave before she disappeared out the living room.

Danni's pov

When I left the living room, I couldn't help but smile. I loved riding on bikes, even though I was used to sitting on the side fixing bikes instead of riding them.

I made my way into the garage and sat down in front of Hayden's bike. I began to rebuild the engine, making sure I kept the noise down as much as possible. I loved sitting doing this. The quiet and the concentration required. It was more the price of mind I could identify with.

When his bike was finished, I pushed it to the front of the garage and text Dan telling him the bike was ready and that he was to get here on the pretense of dropping it off.

He appeared outside and I looked at hin surprised.

"I live three doors up." He explained.

I nodded. "Okay, text Hayden and tell him that your here with the bike. Here is the keys."
