Chapter 34

Zayn's POV

We had just finished dinner and Dad and Harry decided to go to bed early because we were out doing a bunch of errands all day. I slept whenever we were in the car so I did not need any sleep.

"Zayn lets go outside and go swimming!" Niall said.

"Yes! Can we papa?" I asked making sure we had permission.

"Go ahead boys, I will join you but we have to be quiet so we don't wake dad and Harry."

I smiled and ran upstairs to get my swim trunks on, on the last day of vacation Papa taught me how to swim at a pool so I kind of had it down but I'm still scared of oceans. I quickly went downstairs and outside where Papa and Niall were. I jumped in right next to papa scaring him because he didn't see me, I laughed as he held his chest like I just gave him a heart attack.

"Nice one Zee!" Niall laughed.

I swam around with Papa and Niall until I got thirsty and got out to get something to drink when the phone rang, weird, I shrugged but answered it wondering who was calling at eight at night.

"Hello?"

"Ah hello, is this Liam or Louis Paylinson? This is The Police station."

"Um no this is their son one second!"

I gulped wondering what the police station wanted and ran out to Papa who was drying off along with Niall.

"Papa, it's for you its be police station!"

Papa looked alarmed but took the phone and went inside me and Niall following but going to our rooms instead. I got changed into some pajamas and went downstairs where Papa was now with Dad sitting next to him both looking nervous.

"What's up?"

"Zayn, I'm just gonna come right out and say it, your parents have a request to see you, a cop will present and you won't be harmed but you don't have to do it, they want to talk."

I stayed silent and looked down at my feet, I don't know what I was thinking but I finally made a decision.

"I will see them but just for five minutes."

"Are you sure?"

"Yea."

Papa and dad smiled reassuringly at me before Dad went back upstairs to go to sleep and I just sat down in the recliner staring at the ceiling.

"We will go tomorrow at noon, okay Zayn?" Papa asked.

I absentmindedly nodded and just got lost in the thoughts wondering why I agreed to this and wondering what the hell they wanted to see me for. I ended up falling asleep on the recliner at around midnight and woke up to someone shaking me.

"Zee did you fall asleep down here?" Dad asked.

"Oh yea I must have."

"Well it's eleven thirty, go get dressed so we can leave."

I nodded and went upstairs to my room and put on some jeans and a t shirt along with my vans. I went downstairs where Dad was waiting with breakfast and I quickly began to eat.

"It's just you and me going because Papa and the boys have to go driving with papa to practice."

I nodded and finished my cereal then cleaned the dish and put it in the dishwasher making dad give me a suspicious eye.

"Are you nervous?"

"How could you tell?"

"You're delaying time on purpose, you boys never put your dishes in the dishwasher. Zee you're gonna be okay, the cop will be in there and you just tell them when you want to leave."
