He wrapped his arms around my shoulder and we made our way to the door. before we opened it there was a knock. I opened the door only to reveal Yoandri standing there.

Holy crap. Joel quickly let go of me. I don't think Yoandri noticed since he was looking down at his phone. I really hoped he hadn't.

"hey Yoandri what's up" he looked at me and then at Joel with a confused look.

"I left the party and remembered I forgot my jacket so I went back and saw that you had forgotten your purse. so I brought it." he handed my clutch to me.

"oh thank you." come on Erika think of an excuse, I thought to myself. "u-um Joel was actually about to take me to go look for it. that's why he's here." I let out a nervous chuckle.

"oh well here it is. so I guess he can leave now." if Yoandri could kill by staring at someone like he was, Joel would be hella dead right now.

"yea I guess I can. see you tomorrow Erika. bye Yoandri." he gave Yoandri a smile. Joel wasn't the kind of guy to show off he'd gotten the girl. and he wanted to be Yoandris friend.

"well then I guess I'll leave too. there's nothing for me to do here. goodnight Erika." he turned and started walking away.

"Yoandri. please I don't want it to be this awkward between us. I would like us to be friends. you're a great person and I wouldn't like to lose a friend like you. please?"

"I'll try my best." he gave me a half smile and with that he left. I felt so bad because I literally lied to his face about Joel. I went back to my room and texted Joel.

so no more pizza? :-(

I put my phone down and went to put on some fuzzy socks. my feet were cold. I noticed that Joel didn't answer so I decided to lay in bed. I was so tired I began to fall asleep. about 10 minutes later there was a knock on my door. who dared to interrupt my sleep. I got up half asleep and opened the door, revealing Joel with 2 boxes of pizza, chicken wings, sodas and a bag full of different snacks like chips and candy.

"you still hungry?" he gave me a toothy grin.

"um...when am I not?" I helped him, grabbing the bag and soda from his hand. we jumped onto my bed and opened the pizza boxes. I got the TV control and turned the TV on. a Friends marathon was on so we decided to watch that. I was on my 4th slice of pizza when I noticed Joel was staring at me?

"what?"I managed to say while taking a bite from it.

"okay, I gotta say, for a small person like you, you eat really well. I remembered you never wanted to eat and when you did, you ate so little." he took a bite from his pizza slice.

"I remember you being cuter. but you know, people change" I shoved what was left of my slice into my mouth.

"um k thanks?"

"you are welcome." I gave him a sarcastic smile and turned to watch TV

"I also remember you being way less sassy. is there anything else i need to catch up on?" I got up and decided to go change into my pj shorts since it was getting hot. Miami weather is even crazier than Cali weather. i came back in a dance crop top and work out shorts.

"there are a lot of things you need to catch up on" I lied down on the bed and noticed Joel staring at me from head to toe. he wrapped his arms around my waist and put his mouth close to my ear.

"really? like what?" he whispered sending shivers down my spine. he began to leave kisses on my jaw then moving down to my neck. he found my weak spot and took advantage of it. I let out a small moan.

"you're gonna have to find out for yourself." I managed to say and flipped us over so that I was on top of him. I pressed my lips onto his and made my way down to his jawline then to his neck. he let out a soft moan indicating that I had found his sweet spot. I left him love bites on his neck and began to slowly grind, teasing him.

"but...not today." I plopped next to him and opened a bag of chips.

"are you sure?" he gave me his signature grin. the one that could make anyone fall in love with him.

"yup. chip?" I extended my hand so he would be able to reach the bag. I turned to watch TV while he got a chip but was interrupted by Joel pulling my arm making me land on top of him. He placed his lips on mine and began to kiss me passionately, me doing the same. The kiss soon turned into a make out session and things began to get very heated up, more than before. I knew he'd left me hickeys all over my neck but that didn't stop me. he began to pull on my shirt and soon it was of. leaving my in just my my bra. seconds later Joel's shirt too came off. I loved Joel but I wasn't ready for what I'm sure was going to happen next. I had to stop before it was too late. I pulled away, not saying a word.

"Erika are you okay? what wrong? did I make you feel uncomfortable?" Joel sat up and cupped my face with his hands.

"No of course not. it's just...I love you Joel but I'm not ready to take things to the next level. if you know what I mean." I looked down the whole time. to be honest I felt embarrassed saying this to Joel but I knew I could trust him.

"hey. look at me. I won't force you to do anything you don't want to. I will wait for you as long as you need me to." he placed a kissed on my forehead and pulled me into a hug. what did I ever do to have such an amazing guy like Joel?
