"What?!"

"I'm fucking jealous, Hazen."

"Oh, we just met Kielly."

"Kielly?" He raised his eyebrow then smirked. "I like that."

Ugh. Why did I call him Kielly? Oh. I'm really lazy calling other people with their whole name so I always give them nicknames. That's why.

Danny cleared his throat. Thanks to him. I want to change the topic.

"As I was saying earlier, you just need some help and after that, you'll leave and maybe that'll be our last encounter. I don't want to tell you what I am because.. You know, that'll be risking my own kind." I widened my eyes as realization hit me. As if reading my thoughts, Danny answered.

"Yes, Hazen. I'm a werewolf. Ezekiel as well. We're both Alphas of different packs. I hope you're not scared and won't reveal our secret to others."

"Why would I be scared? Werewolves are awesome! And promise. I won't tell anyone or anything about you and your kind. Cross my heart and hope to die." Raising my right hand then gestured crossing my heart.

They both laughed at my enthusiasm but nodded and mouthed 'thanks' for appreciation.

"And by the way, before I forgot" Danny continued, quickly turning serious. "At first, I don't want to tell you I'm a werewolf. But when we arrived at your RV, I changed my mind. Your RV.. It's wrecked inside and I have an idea who did that. I can faintly smell it because of my clogged nose, but I know it's them."

"Them?" Ezekiel instantly appeared beside me. Flash?

"Rogues. I'm not sure but you got better sense of smelling right now, so you can check the RV to know if I'm right." Kielly nodded then disappear from my side.

Less than a minute, Kielly appeared to my side again. "You're right. But why?"

Danny shrugged. "I don't know. That's why Hazen, I want to keep you at my pack to help you and to keep you safe from them. I'll let my people to investigate. Sorry Hazen, but it's for your own safety."

I nodded at him. Do I have any other choice?

"Daniel, she's my mate so she's going to stay with me." Stupid Kielly. Push that topic once more and I'll punch his beautiful face.

"Oh wow, who made you king of anything? I'm no one's mate, Kielly. I'll stay with Danny whether you like it or not, which I don't really care about. Now, let's go Danny. Time is gold."

I turned around and waited for Danny to follow but when I look over my shoulder, I saw Kielly glaring hard at Danny, who only stared back at him with a blank expression.

"Danny, let's get moving." I rolled my eyes and groaned to emphasize my boredom.

After forever, he walked past me. I turned my head behind once again to see Kielly already looking at me. He looked.. Sad and.. Longing.

Danny called me, snapping me out of my daze. "Hey, time is gold, right?" He continued walking without glancing at my direction. I looked at Kielly again. "See you again, Kielly." I smiled then run to Danny's side.

After minutes of walking, Danny stopped on his tracks. "You said time is gold. I guess we'll be in my pack in an hour if we stopped walking and run instead."

I gave him an are-you-serious look. "But I don't like running, Danny."

He chuckled. "Who told you you'll run?"
