Chapter 38: Hi.
I took a glass of champagne from a waiter on my way upstairs and as soon as I hit the entrance of the balcony, I shut my scent off again.
Hah. I'm so badass.
Kudos. Summer raised her glass and we imaginarily cheered together.
The place is empty which is perfect for my plan. I hid in the corner, just beside the entrance. I finished my glass and just like I anticipated, he followed me.
I didn't waste time and quickly grabbed his collar then pinned him to the wall I was just leaning on earlier. Crashing my glass on the wall and having its tip sharp, I pointed it at his neck. I know it's useless since glasses aren't kryptonite and most especially he's an Alpha, but I want to show him that I'm in control.
Looking at his masked eye, he's calm and didn't seem to mind that I'm pointing a sharp object on his neck at all. Wow, so manly. Pff. Then he asked, "Who are you?"
Hah. My favorite "Question of the year" and I love it.
Looks like even him don't recognize me. Well, I can't blame them.
From my dark brown hair, it turned dark bluish violet with streaks of pink and red. I know, that's freaking girly but it looked cool anyway. About my eyes, they'd turned hazel from brown though Gage and Cece told me that they change colors, depending on my emotions. And my skin turned lighter in complexion, even though I've been training outdoors in The Sanctuary before. And speaking of training, my body became fit. Like, ooooh, I have abs. Not prominent, but still.
My voice and scent changed as well. My voice got kinda deeper, and Gage always tell me that he likes it because it shows authority and.. Well, he said it's freaking sexy like I'm seducing him with just my voice even if I'm talking to him about poops when he took a stray dog under his care. For me, that's what a dirty talk is --in a literal way. As for my scent, it got stronger because of the werewolf and other supernatural powers I have according to Cece. That's why she thought me how to shut my scent off. It's really convenient actually, especially now.
Getting back to the current problem, I tightened my hold on the glass when I felt him moved a little bit. Looking at him from toe to head, I smirked at him and sweetly told him, "Your nightmare."
He also gave me an overlook, but from head to toe, then toe to head. I'm already getting pissed off by that insult. And let's add that ignorant smile on his face. "You think so highly of you, and you're just 5'4. Wow. Impressive."
"And now you're being pinned down on the wall by none other than me, and I'm just 5'4. Wow. Impressive." I retorted back.
"Really?" He asked, clearly making fun of me.
"Really. Oh, and you're an Alpha? What a shame." I felt him stiffen, and I know I hit a nerve.
"If I were you, I would stop disrespecting someone who is so much more powerful than you. Be thankful you are a little girl, or else I'd already snapped you in half. Remember this, you don't wanna mess up with a King. Especially. Me." He said with a smirk, but I can see he's getting pissed off as well by the tone of his voice and his eyes.
"Ooooh. Thank you so much for your kindness. That's so romantic of you." I said in a sweet tone, then laughed. "Pff. Sorry, I'm such a bad actress."
"I second that. What a shame."
"Oh. Using my line on me, aren't you?"
"No, not really. I've got one word to add." I waited for him to continue, and saw his smirk grew wider. "Pathetic."
