"But Dad!" said Kurt in obvious distaste. "I don't want to marry some snotty prince from the other kingdom."

"I know, son. But even I cannot sway the laws. " sighed Burt. "And what did I tell you about calling him a snotty prince? You're a prince too, Kurt."

"I know I'm the prince. I also know that you're the king, and should somehow be able to change these pathetic laws!" exclaimed Kurt, furious.

When looked up to see a defeated look on Burt's face he knew somewhere in his heart that Burt wanted to refuse the courtship, but as this could cause unease between the kingdoms, it wasn't his decision. Kurt let out a final yell of frustration before he stormed up to his room, ignoring the glances of maids and officials he passed by.

"Blaine Anderson. " mocked Kurt. "He has to rely on his kingdom to get him a date."

But he's just the same as you, he doesn't really have a choice. Does he? thought Kurt in resignation.

"We'll find out tomorrow before I find away to refuse this courtship." mumbled Kurt as he plummeted onto his pillow, falling asleep.

"Get on the horse, Mr.Hummel!" shouted Will Schuester in sheer outrage. Will was an advisor appointed by Burt to join his son in his travel, which Kurt purposely burdened in his anger. Kurt had refused to fix his hair in the morning and downright disagreed to get on the horse.

"No!" said Kurt. "Maybe if I'm late, they'll refuse."

"This is irresponsible behavior." said Will, almost to himself. "I'll have to get the guards to put you on the horse."

"Okay! Okay! I'll get on the horse." said Kurt in alarm, eyeing the meaty guards nearby. He had to maintain some dignity. Was he really being irresponsible?

Kurt pondered this as he rode the horse alongside Will and the two guards. T

his is about the kingdom of Daltonia and Hummelton. If I don't atleast try to court this boy, or respect their royalties, war could be waged...and everyone would pay for his misbehaviour. thought Kurt before his face contorted in stress. why does this have to be so complicated for me?

"Kurt, are you alright?" asked Will, concerned. Because despite Kurt's irritating ways for the last couple of weeks, Will knew the kind hearted boy was still there.

"I really have to date him, don't I?" asked Kurt, upset. Will chuckled.

"We're not asking you to marry him. It might now work out for him. Besides, he looked pretty handsome in the paintings!"

Kurt rolled his eyes. "Everyone looks good in paintings. "

"Kurt. " said Will, not bothering to use formalities.

"Oh goodness no.  " deadpanned Kurt when he saw the castle. "Nonononono, bring me back."

"That won't do! We're here!" said Will cheerily. "Look at that beautiful castle."

"Well don't get attached to it." said Kurt bluntly before ushering his horse forwards. "The faster we get there the faster we get out."

"The boy might actually fall for you." said Will.

"Will!" exclaimed Kurt as he watched the bridge lower across the moat. "Not on my note. "

"You underestimate yourself, Kurt." said Will proudly as he watched Kurt's horse trot across the bridge, following behind closely.
