Don't Leave Me Here

Ever since the day I was born,

My life was always meant to be torn.

Never was it to go right,

Now I'm just a creature of the night.

I throw a penny into the well,

Hoping a wish I may sell.

To be loved is what I ask.

But up again goes my mask.

I push people away,

Which leads them to leave each day.

Please stay with me!

The real me you'll see!

Please . . .

Don't leave me here,

Where the dark is near.

I need you with me,

Don't let me be . . .
