VIOLET DARGO?! What did I do? Oh man, this is either really good or really bad! Violet Dargo held Lunas' reins. She was smiling. I was sweating, and Shinely was trying to not go and hide. Were-cats don't like to see people twice, especially if the first time was terrifying! She says with a light voice "Hello Sapphira. It is a pleasure to meet you." I reply "No the pleasure's all mine, I assure you..." I was shaking. She laughed and said "Come with me, Sapphira. I promise you not in any trouble...." I sigh with relief. She smiles, and we walk out to the field. Luna warbles, and a male dragon with a similar look to Luna lands. It nudges Luna, who rubs back. I was surprised by Lunas' reaction to Violets' dragon. A flaming orange dragon comes down with a fairy on its back. It had flaming orange hair, red wings, and a flaming orange outfit. Then a black, red, and blue dragon land with a blue were-cat riding it. Chrysanthemum and Lauren! I say "Hi, Chrysanthemum and Lauren." Laurens' Water, Air & Ice dragon and Chrysanthemums' Fire & Air dragon were glaring at each other. (Ice dragons were bred from Plasma and Water dragons after a few hundred years of the crossing) Their riders are talking. The dragons break out into a wrestling match, the air filling with smoke and ice. The riders began talking with Violet, and Chrysanthemum turned to me. She said, "Who's the chick?" Violet says "She is Sapphira. She bonded with Luna here." Then she gestured to Luna. I touched Lunas' neck, and she leaned on me. Then the two riders flew off, and Violet shrugged. She said "I will be your teacher, and you will get lessons with one other rider. His name is Jack..." A strange smell filled the air. It was a mixture of vanilla and mint. A male voice said "Hi. You must be Sapphira." I turn around and a guy around 6 feet tall, brown hair, green eyes, and pale skin. I just about ran into Jack.. Yikes... I said, "Where's your dragon, Jack?" Jack snaps his fingers, and a male Plasma & Air dragon lands next to him. They share an eye color, and the first spine on its body is brown, not black. He says "Sapphira, Gus, Gus, Sapphira." I reply "Jack, Luna, Luna, Jack." Luna bounds up to me, and wraps her tail around me, flaring out her tail fins. He asks "How old is Luna?" I say "Um..... 1 or 2...." Jack nods I continue "...weeks." He looks surprised, then says "Eclipse?" I nod. Then Violet chirps "Time for flight class! Go to the stables near the Head Office, and clean your dragons until they shine like black pearls!" We start running and find our grooming supplies on the bench by two stalls. They read 'Gus' & 'Luna'. A black dragon was imprinted into the doors, forming a concave design in the wood. We got to work cleaning our dragons, and Luna and I were done last, but I had also cleaned tack which I do every day anyway. Luna and I shone, her scales and saddle, and my black leather armor. It covered my body, and I had made a helmet out of the odd scales Luna shed and leather. It covered my entire head, and under the scales looked like this:

Anyway, we were inspected by Violet. She poked and prodded, stared, and stretched. Then she said to Jack "Clean your tack and get some armor, it'll really help keep you safer. Clean tack is a safe and strong tack! Rember that! Also, what else is an important thing to remember?" Jack piped up "A reliable safety line, with a reinforced core!" Violet attached a weird line to my saddle. So that's what that ring's for! I attached the other end onto my armors' belt with a clip and a ring. It held strong. Violet laughed at my effort. Then she fixed what I'd never noticed. My saddle is backward? I was wondering why it was at the back. She fixed it and explained how the saddles worked. I was completely embarrassed. Then Violet clipped the line to the right side. I saw Jack laughing. Once we all got into the air, Violet instructed us to simply warm up our bodies, as well as our dragon. I felt the wing of my wingsuit tucked into the hidden compartment in my armor. I asked Luna telepathically "Should we?" She replied "You need to warm up too! Let's do it! Now!" I undid my safety and leaned over Lunas' side. Jack was screaming, and I was smiling under my helmet. My eyes were the only exposed part of my body, and I looked down and pulled the loop. My wings opened, and I glided beside Luna for a while. Then Violet noticed. She simply shook her head at me. Jack was glaring at me, I was kinda showing him up... Then I got back on Luna, and we began with some maneuvers. The shoot, dive, dodge, for example. Luna and I soon got bored. Then, we learned about the transformation trick. If we were falling, we were to transform into a dragon. It will not affect our dragons, because it wasn't the same as the swap I accidentally did. It was for increased battle and rescue maneuvers. "Many people wonder where all the dragons went, or think that knights killed them off. But, really now. Could people of killed beasts like these? I think not. See, I'll give you guys a treat. Let me show you something..." Violet said as she dove away. We followed her. When we landed, our dragons became humans. Apparently, Plasma & Air, Water, Ice, and Fire dragons can turn into people at will... I saw what she meant. As soon as my dragon transformed, my vision allowed me to see the dragons. Hundreds of dragons and riders wandered around. I was confused. I asked Violet "How can't anybody else tell the difference between the people?" Violet said, "I have no idea." Then something hit me. Why is this town so familiar? When Jack asked where to get lunch, my arm moved towards the fifth street. I pulled my arm down and turned red. I asked Violet what town it was, and she said "Hidden Cove." My heart raced, and my mouth said "I'm home." I lead Jack down the many streets, and into all the major attractions. I took him to see the butcher, who smiled at us and gave us subs to eat as we walked around town. Jack asked, "How do you know this town so well?" I said, "I lived here before I moved to the academy." He nodded. Soon we headed back to the town square and returned to the academy. I climbed into bed and fell asleep with Luna beside my bed. I dreamt of flying over a peaceful ocean with Jack on a mission to collect the new riders... A/N Hey, guys! Just thought I'd say hi, and that this is my 3rd longest chapter to date at 1200 words!
