I heard movement out side the door; I heard every little detail, someone breathing slowly. Something being taken off my door knob, they made some noise as they did.

My back was sore and my breathing was too slow. I looked to my sides to see no wings or any feathers. It must have been my imagination.

“Irene.”I heard out side my door. It was Carolina her voice sounded sad. I didn’t say anything, just looked at the door.

“Lily wants to see you.”She said still standing outside the door. She made a shadow at the bottom on the door.

I didn’t say anything just got up the bed, where it was like someone poured a bucket of water at me. I roamed around the room, looking for clothes. I only found big t-shirt and sweats. I grabbed them not caring whose they were and opened the door.

Carolina wasn’t there, without thinking I sighed. I didn’t want to confront her yet. This was all confusing and I needed time to process it all.

I walked over to a door and I got lucky it was the bathroom. It would have been embarrassing if it wasn’t, or if someone was in there forgetting to lock it.

I took a cold shower loving how the water felt against my skin. I got out and grabbed a towel drying my self. I put on the clothes and looked my self in the mirror. My skin wasn’t shining like it use to, it was pale along with my dull hair. I was surprised since it always shined. I looked into my eyes to see my eye color was grey. Like a storm was coming in. They almost seemed black. That was different their usual color is light grey almost blue sometimes. My light brown hair came down almost to my waist.

I slapped my self hard, wondering if it was a dream than it wouldn’t hurt. It hurt and I groaned going to my knees. I was so confused and alone.

I wanted to cry, but I did that last night. I can keep don’t it like it’s no big deal. It’s a sign of weakness, of having to depend on people.

I got up and grabbed my own clothes going back to my room. I laid the clothes on the bed and went out again. I walked along a hallway and saw the living room. Nobody was in their so I went out side. The day couldn’t be sunnier. The clouds sky blue and the wind a warm yet cool breeze.

Everything was crystal clear, everything was putting me down. Outside was making my cringe into the darkness. Why was I feeling like this? I should be outside enjoying this type weather.

“Irene.” Lily said getting up. She was right next to the door in a chair. Her black hair was up in a pony tail. Carolina sat in another chair next to Lily. I didn’t hate Carolina mostly because Lily was apart of this too. They both were on this, together. With out telling me, it still hurts thinking about it.

“I’m so sorry.” Lily said her green eyes pleading into mine. I still didn’t say anything, like a cat that a mouse got their tongue.

“How are you doing?” I heard from Carolina. This started a spark did she know what happened last night? Yet, she didn’t come and help? Why? I can’t believe that they would do this to me? Let me go through that, alone. Knowing how bad it hurt. Such good friends they are.
