Devin walked downstairs the next morning with his head slightly lower than usual. Angelo followed a step behind him. He didn't dare make a move to touch the young wolf in fear of his temper. Devin obviously couldn't hurt him but that didn't mean Angelo would fight back.

"Devin. Last night..."

"Save it. It's okay." Devin muttered.

"No it's not. I'm not used to sharing my house and I should have knocked or something." Josh sighed. "I'm very sorry."

"And I said its okay." Devin snit. Josh sighed, shaking his head. "Sola."

"What?"

"My last name is Sola. I'm from the Sola family, heir to the Sola Empire, son to the strongest Alpha in the western packs. I kept my name hidden because of the reaction on your face. Please don't tell anyone. I'm not like my father. I ran away for the reason that he's stubborn and cruel." Devin's voice cracked as he fought back tears. "Please don't let something like last night happen again. I'll have to hurt you." Josh let out a small chuckle.

"I won't. Would you like some breakfast? I made eggs and toast and bacon." Josh turned as he continued to label off breakfast foods. Angelo smiled as Devin's mood was lifted by just simply talking with the other Alpha.

"Who is Chris?" Angelo asked of Josh. He was rubbing Devin's hair as the wolf slept on his lap.

"He's our original Pack Leader. I'm in charge till he returns, and once he does power returns to him. He's searching for his mate." Josh sighed, shaking his head. "He's gotten tired of waiting and went to some witch and she sent him on a wild goose chase into the western lands. Stupid wolf. He wants to find love."

"Love is very important. It helps us stay young. Even when we become old, we will still be young in our hearts." Angelo sighed. "Our world revolves around love and hatred. The two are forever hanging in the balance and just one person can tip the balance. Your Chris could tip the balance, or even Devin. Maybe you could. The Kunga tribe respects that balance and does everything to maintain it. Fate is something we never try to control. We let it flow in and around us. It controls us." Angelo chuckled.

Couch,

"I've never thought about love that way." Josh murmured.

"Angelo, stop being so deep." Devin mumbled. "S-Something is... wrong." Devin whimpered. He gripped his stomach, curling into a ball. Josh frowned at him, quickly moving and kneeling in front of him. His eyes widened as Devin's scent hit him.

"It's started. He's in heat, and it's so strong." Josh whimpered. He gripped the couch, his knuckled white. "God... Get him upstairs." Angelo nodded. He scooped the wolf into his arms, and hurried upstairs. "I can settle his heat but he needs to keep his clothes on. He's already passed out."

"Why?"

"The pain. First heats are always painful for Omegas. My first rut was horrible. It was after smelling this chick who had gone into heat in front of everyone." Josh sighed. "Lay him down on the bed." Angelo hesitantly did as told.

"Don't hurt him." Angelo glared at him.

"I won't. I wouldn't ever dream of hurting this pup." Josh chuckled. He laid on the bed behind Devin, and wrapped an arm around the wolf's waist. "Calm down sweetheart." Josh whispered. He gently rubbed Devin's stomach. He sighed as Devin slowly relaxed and his breathing became even. "I won't hurt him. I need you to go downstairs and wait for my friend. His name is Ryan and he was with us when we were coming here."
