Patricia swiftly departed the plane on arrival, making her way to the baggage area through a surprisingly crowded airport. Plucking her suitcase from the carousel after a brief wait. She made her way to sliding doors, a cool breeze greeting her exit,
Elliot leaned nervously leaned against the jeep waiting for Patricia's arrival, thoughts of the mesmerizing eyes of the stunning blonde swirling in her mind causing her nervousness to increase. Taking one last look at herself in the side view mirror she turned her attention to the doors as she heard the chatter of the oncoming passengers.
Her eyes immediately locked onto the blonde once again as she exited, causing her breath to hitch while she watched as Patricia stride elegantly towards her. Wiping her sweaty hands against her jeans Elliot soothed the nonexistent wrinkles from her button down trying to play off her nerves, she opened the jeep door, before taking the suitcases from the stunning woman.
"Welcome to Fiji," Elliot greeted as she bowed from the waist playfully while motioning to the opened jeeps door with her arm, "Your chariot awaits milady." Elliot straightened herself upright and was quickly engulfed in a hug, whether from feeling overwhelmed with the relief of seeing Elliot or from the stress of the unexpected engagement or a combination of both Patricia didn't know but she tightened her grip around her blue- eyed savior nonetheless.
"I'm glad to see you too." Elliot chuckled while taking a step back so she could look at the beauties face, her smile faded when she saw the tears falling from those gorgeous gray eyes.
Without thinking she scooped the woman up in her arms and placed her in the passenger's seat, she wiped the crying woman's tear-streaked face with the pads of her thumb and place a chaste kiss on her cheek causing Patricia to smile shyly and lean into Elliot's touch, "I'm sorry it's been an emotional day."
"it's ok, everything will be ok." Elliot cooed, "do you want to talk about it?" Patricia shook her head from side to side but gave Elliot a grateful smile, she was embarrassed she had allowed herself to break down in front of Elliot
Elliot wasn't sure what was bothering the woman but she knew if she wanted her to know she'd tell her eventually. she walked over and got in on the driver's side and drove them back towards the bungalow. The women sat in comfortable silence not realizing at this moment that each one was thinking about the other.
Patricia had never felt safer than she did now being in the presences of the raven haired woman, this caused her feelings towards the woman to intensify, she wanted desperately to know more about the woman and to explore her feeling further but she was afraid, afraid that Elliot would reject her once she found out she was being forced to marry a man she despised. So for now, she would keep this to herself.
Elliot was elated that Patricia had decided to visit her. She knew from the moment she first laid eyes on the blonde she wanted to know everything about her and hoped the woman felt the same. "I'm glad you came," Elliot said breaking the silence as her right hand left the steering wheel and reached out for Patricia's.
Patricia gave her a warm smile and laced her fingers through Elliot's, "so am I," the action felt natural to her like breathing. She'd known she knew nothing about the gorgeous dark haired woman seated beside her yet she couldn't explain how drawn she was to her, "so am I." she repeated.
"Hey, are you hungry? Elliot asked, "we can get something to eat before we head to the bungalow." Elliot was a bit tired but she knew to sleep would mean she would miss precious time she could spend with the woman she did not know where things would lead but for now, she would take what she could.
"I'd love to but I'm a bit tired Rain check?" Patricia really wanted nothing more than to enjoy their first night together since they parted but the stress of the luncheon still weighed heavily on her mind she wanted to start her first moments fresh, clear of the thoughts of the day. she wanted to enjoy every fleeting moment she had with Elliot for as long as possible, even while knowing she was running out of time, the clock in her subconscious mind slowly ticking away.
