Synho! This is a poem that'll try and capture the idea of Peponi, which is paradise in Swahili. I tried to make this more country-like rather than serious.
Enjoy!Heaven's wonder shines from above,
Fair and bright as a graceful dove,
Feeling the sweet smell, of morning glory.
Cleansing all our troubles and worries,
It's like the plains of county Surrey.A divine light shines through Peponi,
Fear not! For there is no hurry.
To admire hope and the will to do more,
And we shall be remembered by the speaking lores.
Just think about the beauty of Peponi. It is the light that keeps us alive,
Even when all is lost, light glows,
Even in the fray of darkness' hive,
The divine wind hopefully blows.
It is the successful scent of our dreams,
Like the ocean's sound, calm as a stone.
We all try, but struggle for all it seems,
That's why we ain't fighting life alone. For the joyous radiance of Peponi,
Enlightens all who are sole,
Bringing hope to our life's role.
It illuminates the hearts of the ghastly,
Clearing the path for what's there to see.Just think about what's there to fight for,
What's there to be near forever more.
Then the Child of Light shall cleanse all,
Purifing our journey, breaking all fort and wall.
