This was so cheesy, but it was the only way Cassie could think to tell Ben. As soon as she found out she was pregnant, she tried to come up with some ways to tell him. First, she thought of being corny and buying a "#1 Dad" mug or "I [heart] my daddy" mug (which she did purchase because why not?), but then came up with a better idea.

First off, since it was still very early in the day, she made a doctor's appointment. She went in to confirm the pregnancy and got an ultrasound picture in the process! She cried when she saw her and Ben's little bean on the screen and got even more excited to tell him!

Once she got home, she made a four paged card with a poem she took from the internet. On the last page, was the pregnancy test, the picture, and a pacifier she had gotten on the way home. She put the mugs she had bought in the cupboards to add to the surprise.

For the next three hours or so, that's what she was up to. Almost immediately after she finished, it was nearly eleven at night and she could hear Ben's motorcycle come up the driveway. Hunter started going insane and barking, while Cassie bounced in excitement.

This was it!

As he came in, he started shushing Hunter while whispering, "Yes, hello, my boy, hello. Let's not wake mummy." Cassie smiled and bounded out to the living room from the kitchen. Ben looked up when he heard her, then smiled widely. "Or it doesn't matter cause she's still awake. Hello, dear."

He went up to her and placed a kiss on her lips. "I told you not to wait up for me," he murmured against her lips. The only answer he got was another kiss. He hummed against her lips and put his hands on her hips.

"I have something for you," she told him when she pulled back. He quirked an eyebrow at her and said, "Alright. What is it?" Taking his hands, she led him into the kitchen. The first thing he saw was a chocolate croissant on the counter, with a card underneath it.

He pointed at it as if to ask, "Is this for me?". Cassie nodded and picked it up, noting that it was still warm. He bit into it and groaned. "Gets better every time," he told her. He then picked up the thick home-made card and looked it over. When he looked back up to Cassie, she had her phone out and camera pointed at him.

"I don't understand why you have to film this," he chuckled. Nevertheless, he opened it and read aloud;  "I do not have a face to see, or put inside a frame. I do not have soft cheeks to kiss, I don't yet have a name. You can't yet hold my tiny hands, nor whisper in my ear. It's still too soon to sing a song, or cuddle me so near. But all will change come January 14th, that's when they say I'm due."

His eyes widened a bit, but he didn't stop and turned the page. "All I ask between now and then, is your patience while I grow. I promise I'll be worth the wait. Because of all the love we'll know. So what I have to give you now, is a wish to you from me. I cannot wait to be a part of this wonderful family."

He stared at the card in disbelief, then looked up to Cassie with tears in his eyes. "You're kidding," he said with a smile. While laughing with tears in her eyes, she shook her head and said, "Turn the page." He turned to the last page and saw the pregnancy test, the ultrasound picture, and then a pacifier.

Underneath the items, it read; "I can't wait to meet you, daddy!" Ben took out the picture and set the card carefully on the counter. He took a closer look at it, then looked back up to Cassie. "You're pregnant."

She bit her bottom lip, then sniffled and said, "I am." He still looked like he was in disbelief, but then started laughing. "You fucking liar," he laughed. "Are you...are you really?" She started to laugh with him as she said, "I'm serious! I am four weeks along and you are going to be a daddy." He still looked in shock, but then pulled Cassie into a tight hug and buried his face into her neck.

Cassie wrapped her arms around his neck and cried into his shoulder. She was still recording the video, but didn't even notice. Ben pulled back from the hug, his cheeks stained with tears. "We're having a baby," she softly told him.

She never thought she could see a wider smile on his face than in this moment. "We're having a baby," he repeated with a small laugh. He brought her in for a passionate kiss, then pulled back and took her phone. He pointed the camera to them, then shouted, "I'm going to be a daddy!"

He then proceeded to kiss Cassie a hundred more times, all while the camera still rolled. He put her forehead against hers and said, "I love you so much." She put her hands on his cheeks and said, "I love you, too."

Ben stopped the recording, then set her phone on the counter. "Oh my God, I can't believe this is happening," he said, the smile still wide on his face. "Holy shit, this is amazing!" He hugged her again and lifted her up, spinning her around the kitchen with the happiest laugh and widest smile.

When he set her down, he put his hands on her stomach as he stared adoringly into her eyes. "I have one...or two...more things for you," she told him. He looked confused, but then his eyes almost flew out of his head.

"We're having triplets," he said. Cassie laughed and told him, "God no! No, no, no! No, this is something else." She went over to the cupboard and took out the two daddy mugs and handed it to him. He sniffled and let a few tears fall when he looked at them.

"Goddammit, I'm so happy," he cried. Cassie brought his head down to her shoulder and he cried as he held on to her. "We have one more thing to deal with," she said into his ear. He hummed as his answer, to which she replied, "How are we going to tell our parents?"

**

Every time a kiss was placed on her stomach, a giggle came out and Ben would laugh. "You are so ticklish," he chuckled. He placed more and more kisses around her stomach as her hands slipped into his hair and tugged a little.

"Cassie, dear," he growled, "if you keep doing that, I'll have you right here, right now." She giggled and told him, "I thought you were tired." He crawled up her body, then lay himself down next to her. He put his hand over her stomach and gave her the biggest, stupidest, happiest grin. It's the same he's been giving all night.

"Well, I was," he told her, "but then my beautiful, amazing wife told me she was pregnant and I've never been more awake in my entire life!" He kissed her for, what seemed like, the thousandth time that night. "You better get used to being awake," she teased. "If this one is anything like you, they'll be keeping us up all night."

Ben laughed. "Do not listen to my mother. I wasn't that terrible. Speaking of mothers how are we going to tell ours? What you did to me was bloody genius, but I think we should go a little further. They are going to be grandparents, after all."

Cassie ran her hand down his bare and smooth chest and rested it at his heart. "Why don't we wait to get a check-up first?" She suggested. "I only went to a primary doctor today to confirm it. I didn't want to tell you, and then find out nothing was there."

He nodded, then said, "Okay. So, we make an appointment, make sure you're both healthy, and then come up with a clever way to tell our parents. Though, maybe we should wait until your mum and sister get here so we can tell them all together. That's only three weeks away."

Cassie smiled at the thought. "Sounds perfect," she told him. "For now, why don't we get some sleep and I'll call in the morning." Ben placed a chaste kiss on her lips, then said, "Of course." They both got under the covers and snuggled up close, while Hunter hoped on and curled up at his usual spot on the bed.

Ben wrapped his arms around Cassie, pulled her close, then put his hand protectingly over her stomach. This was happening. It was all finally coming together.
