"Wow, mommy!" Liam shouted as he watched his mom come into the living room. Ben looked over, then gave her a double take with wide eyes. "Yeah, wow," he breathed out. Cassie was wearing a very expensive and very gorgeous dress. It was black with a slit in the front to show off her leg and it attracted even more attention with how shiny it was with the sequence catching the light.

She was attending a gala tonight that she got invited to. Not Ben. Her. It was thrilling to be the one with the invites for once!

Shortly after Liam's birthday and their anniversary, she was approached by British Vogue to be their 'Woman of the Year' in entrepreneur's. She was on the list with actresses, singers and even politicians. She had to do a photoshoot and everything!

Ben was beyond proud of her and was enjoying being the one who stayed home to care for the kids while she did interviews and photoshoots. Tonight, however, he was not happy to stay home. He couldn't go with her to the gala because no one was able to watch over the kids.

Mark was invited to this gala so, naturally, Julie is going with him. Wanda and Tim were also invited, as was Tom. Adam and Kate were away on holiday, so they were also out of the question. Kelly was supposed to come over, but had to cancel because Alexis came down with food poisoning. Leo was their last resort, but he had a "big date" he couldn't miss.

"I so wish I was going with you," Ben whined as he hugged her and put his face into her neck. She was wearing his favorite perfume and he couldn't help but take a big whiff. She smelled of lavender and powder, a scent that made his eyes roll to the back of his head.

When he pulled away, he looked down at her dress and said, "My god, you're gorgeous. Seriously, I am in awe right now, baby." Liam came up to them and said, "Mommy, you so pwetty." Cassie picked up her boy and kissed his cheek, leaving a red lipstick print on him.

"Thank you so much, baby," she cooed. "You helped me pick this out, remember?" She took him shopping the other day and every dress she wore, he would want her to get because of how pretty he thought she looked. When she came out in this one, however, he couldn't have been more enthusiastic about her getting it.

"Well, you have good taste," Ben told his son. He looked back to Cassie, then said, "I so want to be there with you. It doesn't feel right, staying home. I want to be there to support you like you have with me so many times. This isn't right."

Cassie put Liam down when he tried to wiggle his way out to go play with Hunter, then said, "I know, but we don't exactly have a choice. Someone needs to stay home with the boys and, for once, it can't be me. Trust me, I know how much you want to be there and it means a lot."

She kissed his pouty lip, then went to say goodbye to Liam and the twins. Ben walked her out the door and made sure her private car knew exactly where to take her. "I love you, baby," he told her as he stuck his head inside the rolled down window, "and I am so, so proud of you. Send me pictures and let me know when you're on your way home."
