"CAN I PLEASE GO THE BATHROOM?"
Mrs Tuddin ceased droning on and sustained a sinister smile to the corner of her thin lips. "I don't know, can you?"
A spark of annoyance ignited within me as I stared at her through narrowed eyes. "May I please go to the bathroom?" I rephrased, with a tinge of aggravation seeping into my tone.
"Hurry up," she grumbled, fixing her glasses.
With a small sigh, I rose up from my seat and pushed the doors open, guiding my footsteps in the direction of the bathroom. As soon as I reached the bathroom, I shoved the door open and entered an empty stall.
"No!" I hissed to myself upon my realisation, gently slapping my forehead. What a great way to start the day.
A frown marred my face as I exited the stall and hastened to my locker, seizing hold of a pad and stuffing it in my bra.
As soon as I cleaned myself up, I washed my hands and then wiped them on my leggings, slyly pulling my phone out of my pocket. 'Sup, Blaze?'
'I have a lecture, go away,' came his response a minute later.
'i'm in school lol :) can i come over later?' I answered, bouncing back and forth on the heels of my feet.
'Ok.'
A whoosh of air escaped my lips. "Wow," I muttered to myself. I totally didn't expect him to agree. After sending him a short reply, I tucked my phone back in my pocket and skipped my way back to class.
Life's great.

"ALSO, DON'T LEAN OVER. It didn't work last time."
I granted Jade a brusque nod, adjusting my shirt. "Trust me, I know," I murmured, assessing my reflection in the mirror.
She clasped her hands together, her eyes lingering on my outfit. "Have fun!"
I blew her a kiss. "I'll tell you everything when I come back," I promised, grabbing my handbag.
"You better!"
A ghost of smile traced my lips as I descended the stairs, poking my head through the doorway that led to the living room. "Mamá, I'm going out," I said, protectively curling my fingers around the strap of my bag.
Her head snapped in my direction, eyes narrowed and inquisitive. "With who?"
"Uh..." I tugged at the end of my brown hair. "Blaze." I sighed as I caught sight of the curious expression on her face.
