I landed a few yards away from Zoë's door. I ran up the stairs and knocked on the door. The door creaked opened and out came my aunt.

"KAT!" she embraced me in a large bear hug.

"Okay, okay, but I still need air!" I gasped. She loosened her grip.

"Oh sorry! I'm just so glad you are okay!"

"But you have a lot of explaining to do!" I said, waggling a finger at her.

She told me everything as we sat down to dinner. She told me how the key was sent to her to be protected from the hands of evil. She also explained how the dimensional walls wear out every few decades and need to be refreshed with the key to keep the Nightmare Realm at bay.

"I really am sorry for getting you into this mess," she apologized.

"I didn't think the key would choose you!" Zoë finished.

"Well, it was kinda fun," I smiled.

"Well if you enjoy the otherworldly, you could join me and help explore Faleya and the other dimensions," Zoë smiled. My jaw dropped.

"Of course I would!!" I exclaimed. I embraced her tightly. Magical creatures and adventures? What was not to love! Maybe almost being killed, but I won't focus too hard on that.

The book still is in danger and being hunted, and not just because of its magical key properties. It holds stories and information about every mystical being known in the dimensions. There is also still more information to be written down and more creatures to be discovered. This is where my Aunt Zoe and I come in. We are like, the Guardians of the key. We watch over it and protect the knowledge it holds. The perfect job for me. I already always have my nose buried in a book. Why not make it useful. This summer won't be so boring after all!
