How Captain Canary came to be

Chapter 1

The team had a new mission they had to go to. And...it involved a date.
Rip had said that Vandal Savage would be at this ball, and the whole team would have to go in disguise. Great, Leonard thought. He hated balls, the last thing he wanted to do was dance.
"So, these are your teams. Ray and Kendra will be together, Stein and Jax, and then Sara and Leonard".
Well going with Sara was not that bad. He and Sara and gotten closer. To be honest, he might have a teeny tiny crush on her.
"Well, looks like you're my date, Canary"
"Can't wait Cold"

When the team was all ready to go, the went to the ball. Sara was wearing a short purple dress. Len couldn't help but stare. He had never seen her like this. She looked absolutely beautiful.
A slow dance started playing soon.
"Come on let's dance, Len"
"Oh no thanks, I don't dance", he replied.
"Hey, remember what Rip said. We have to blend in. It's part of our mission. Now shut up and dance with me"
He couldn't help but smirk. Oh how he loved her sassiness.
They started dancing and both of them were enjoying it a lot. Leonard's hand were on her wait, and Sara's on his shoulders. He became all fancy and spinned her around and dipped her.
Sara was shocked. She had never seen Leonard like this.
"So, this is an interesting mission", Leonard said.
"Yup"
"Uh, you know Sara, you look really beautiful today"
"Awww thanks, and you look quite handsome yourself too, Cold"
Was she flirting? Of course he wouldn't know.
He smiled and he dipped her once more.
And that was that. They were just staring in each other's eyes, Leonard's eyes flickered to her lips for a split second THEN BAM. The wall crashed and these soldier-like men started coming in.

Seriously, Len thought. We were having a romantic moment.
