~Jordan's car to the right!~
"Hey, Danielle, can you pass me the tanning lotion?" Jordan asked me.
"Sure," I replied, getting up from the position I was in.
I searched for the tanning lotion in the bag that I brought, but it was no where in sight. I looked in the bag Jordan brought but it wasn't in there either. I furrowed my eyebrows and got up from the chair. I threw my towel up in the air, hoping the lotion would be under it. When it wasn't there, I let out a frustrated groan.
"Jordan, are you sure we packed it?" I asked, my eyes still searching for the bottle.
She lifted up her sunglasses and started searching with me as well. She looked up the chairs and under her towel.
"I saw you pack, Dani." She pouted. I sighed and continued searching.
You see, after that little run in with Hunter, Jordan and I didn't stay in the water long. Also, part of the reason being that I don't quite know how to swim. That's why we decided to come tan instead.
My parents were hard workers and never really got around to teaching me how to swim. So, when I would go in the water, I would only deep enough that my feet can still touch the floor. Might I add that I'm short so I can only go so far into the water.
"How the hell am I supposed to tan now?!" She flailed her arms in the air and threw herself back down on the chair.
"I could've sworn I packed the darn thing." I assured her. She crossed her arms and pouted childishly.
"Excuse me, is this yours?"
I looked up from the floor to meet a guy holding a brown bottle. I looked at Jordan as her eyes lit up and she jumped off her chair.
"Yes! Thank you so much," she squealed.
She didn't even care enough to give the guy a second glance. She just took the bottle from his hand and went back to her seat. I chuckled at her eagerness and walked up to the guy who had an amused smile on his face.
"Uh, thanks. Where did you exactly find it?" I bit my lip.
"It was actually-" he turned around and pointed to the chair next to us. "right there."
My mouth formed and 'o' shape and I felt stupid more looking that far from us. He must've seen how embarrassed I felt because I chuckled. I gave him a small chuckle and took this time to examine him.
He had dirty blonde hair, green eyes and a body sculpted by Michelangelo. He was hot, no doubt about that. I snapped out of my daze when I heard a throat being cleared.
"Did you enjoy the view there?" He smirked.
"Huh?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Well, considering that you didn't hide the fact that you were just checking me out not too long ago. I knew that, cuz your mouth is hanging open and you were practically drooling when you eyes wandered," he cockily said.
My eyes widened a bit and I felt the heat rush to my face. I quickly looked away and focused my gaze on something else. Anything, but his photoshopped body.
He laughed at my nervousness and I pouted. "I'm Grant." He held out his hand and I looked at it before locking my hand with his. My hand felt like a baby hand in his manly sculpted hand.
"Danielle." I smiled. He smiled back and gave my hand a firm shake before letting go.
"Oh, I'm sorry about my friend. She would've sent me to buy another bottle if I didn't find it. So thanks for saving me!" I laughed.
