Chapter 7

We waited until the scene was over and Vivian went crawling back to my Dad. We walked out in the hallway. “Wow” Junior and I said. That make out session lasted 20 minutes. It was the most utterly grotesque thing I had to go through. “Do we tell Dad?” Junior asked again. “Obviously but I bet he won’t believe us” I said. “Well you guys need to find proof then” Free said. “Proof, for what?” We turned around to see our Dad standing behind us. “Oh nothing just some detective game were playing” I quickly made up a lie on the spot. We definitely shouldn’t tell him now. It has to be at the right place and right time. Dad eyeballed me. “Well I’m glad you guys could come, Swaz told me he saw you out here” We all looked at each other. “Follow me I have something cool to show you” my Dad instructed. “Who’s this?” he asked Free as we were walking. “Hi Mr. Blue sir it’s nice to meet you I’m Free and I’m a friend of Juniors and Carrie , Junior and I have AP English and History together sir” she introduced herself. “Nice to meet you too Free” he smiled. “Now check this out” he opened doors to view the whole set of Blue Islanders. It was fantastic! Mind you some of Blue Islanders is actually filmed on the beach and ocean. “Oh my gosh it’s Zack Oland” I screeched. “The main guy on Blue Islanders” Free said. We both sounded like we are under a love spell. If you saw him though, you’ll be acting the same way. “What’s the big deal it’s not like he’s perfect” Junior said as Zack took his shirt off to show his 6 pack. “Wow” Free and I said. Junior rolled his eyes.  Dad was talking to one of his co-workers and then came up to us. “Here let me introduce you guys” he said and we followed him to where Zack was. “Hey Zack” my dad said. “Mr. Blue! my man what’s up” Zack said and they did this handshake thing. I seriously have no idea what that was. “Zack I would like you to meet Free, my daughter Caribbean and my son Junior. “Hey guys nice too meet you” he said shaking our hands.  “Zack!” one of the staff shouted. “That’s my cue, talk to you guys later” he said walking away. “Bye!” Free and I say all girly. Dad was talking to Vivian by the recording studio. “Oh no” I say. “    What?” Free asked. “My Dad is talking to Vivian and I can’t help by thinking I should tell him now. The sooner he knows the better” I say. “Carrie you can’t tell him right now you have to wait until you have proof, if you tell him now Vivian will deny and of course your Dad will believe her over you guys, its a common fact” Free said. I nodded in agreement. “But I’m going to blurt it out I can’t help it when I’m hiding something sometimes, especially if it’s something big and important” I say. Dad and Vivian then came up to us. “Hey Vivian was wondering if you would like to go shopping with her tomorrow before the party” Dad asked. I covered my mouth before I can say anything about Vivian cheating. Vivian gave me the eye. It wasn’t just any eye it looked evil. Wow she could really pass off as Cruella. I think she knows I know. “Mmmhmm” I tried to say sure with my mouth covered. “What she is meaning to say is that we’d be delighted to go” Free saved me. Dad gave me a confused look and laughed. “It’ll be a good bonding experience after all you probably will be spending more time together soon” Dad said. “Great” I mumbled. Thank goodness he didn’t hear me.  Dad then walked away with Cruella. She put her arm around him and acted like everything was good. Hello? You just cheated on my Dad. How do I know it was the first time? I thought. “This is perfect!” Free said, interrupting my thoughts.  “Perfect, for what?” I asked. “We can get proof and possibly a confession by going to the mall with her!” Free said in a cheery voice.  Junior and I looked at her confused.  “Let  me explain then, So we got to the mall and we make sure the guy she was making out with will be there at the same time were there, so we say we all have to use the bathroom or something and we will make sure Vivian bumps into whoever that guy was and Boom! If they start to kiss we will have it on video and your Dad will defiantly believe you guys and break off the engagement” Free proudly said. Whoa that plan is really good I thought. “Great plan! I’m in” I said agreeing with it even though it’s jeopardizing my Dad’s relationship it’s for the best.  “But how do we get cheater boy to go to the mall and plus we don’t even know who he is” Junior said. We looked around to see if we can locate him.  “Easy he is just over there” Free pointed out. We all sadly recognized him. He must be a staff member. Boy does Vivian get around.  “But we can’t just go up to him and say, oh I know you’re the guy Vivian is cheating on my Dad” I said. “Well why not?” Free said. She does have a point reckoned. I nodded and then started to walk over to him but I was cut off by my Dad. “So Hun we are going to jet off now and head to the Aquarium, Free is welcomed to join” he offered. Drat I just missed the guy he walked into another room. I looked back at Free and Junior. They seemed to be enjoying themselves. We walked up to them. “Free we are going to the Aquarium and my Dad said you can come if you want” I asked. “Sure I would love to” she smiled.

   “Whoa this is so cool!” Free, exclaimed as we entered the Aquarium. “I know right! Let me show you all the sea creatures we have” Junior said.  Dad went off to meet up with his co-worker upstairs so I was left alone once again. I then saw Miles outside with the dolphins. I decided to go talk to him. Miles is super nice and I love being around him he makes me happy like Ryder does. “Hey Miles” I said walking towards him. He was bent down feeding the dolphins. “Hey Carrie” he smiled and handed me some food so I can feed them. “How are the dolphins doing?” I asked. “There doing great! But for some reason Crystal doesn’t like to eat very much” he said.  I looked at Crystal something didn’t feel right. “Here let me try feeding Crystal” I said. Miles and I switched places. I placed my hand out full of food. Crystal came up to me and put her nose to it. She didn’t eat anything but she sang a song and swam away. “Weird that’s never happened before she usually just swims away she never had sung a song” Miles said sort of amazed by the singing and confused from the not eating part.  I wonder why Crystal isn’t eating anything but before I could put that thought out loud someone came bursting through the doors. “Hey son your shift is done and Mom and I have a dinner reservation at Blue Islanders to eat” he said.  I was so shocked by who Mile’s father was I could barely move or speak. “Sure Dad I’ll be there in a second I just have to get out of my wet suit and change” Miles says. “Who’s your Dad? I think I’ve seen him before” I asked. Miles looked at me confused and said “Uh his name is Jerry he works on the set of Blue Islanders”. My mouth still opened I still can’t believe this is happening. Mile’s Dad is the guy Vivian my Dad’s fiancé was cheating on with! “Cool, cool never saw the man in my life but I think I did see him today on set” I partly lied. I can never tell Miles his Dad is cheating on his Mom with my new possibly step mom. It’ll crush him and that’s just totally weird. But he does have the right to know but would it be for the better or worse.  When people say it’s a small world well I strongly agree with that statement now.
