While I have to say Chicago PD is the show that makes me laugh the most, it's also the one that makes me cry the most. It's by far the best show in the trilogy.
I have three scenes that killed me and I can't pick just one of them.
1) When Antonio breaks down in "The Cases That Need To Be Solved". He is a dad, he doesn't see his kids often and by this point he's missed his own son's birthday to hunt down a killer of a 6 year old little boy that was killed because the shooter couldn't spell. He loses it on the offender and Voight tells him to back off, I just couldn't stop crying because Antonio was crying and yelling that he needed to know what he'd done. When Jay came and got him out of the interrogation room... wow. The memorial for the little boy at the end of the episode where everyone gathered together made my sob... seeing Antonio with Diego there... their relationship is still so strong even though they don't get as much time together as they'd like.
2) The end of the episode "A Forty Caliber Breadcrumb". Jay, tough, military trained, Jay... breaks down and sobs in the bathroom after having to lose a friend who was going to be a father while working a side job that he never really believe in. I think this hit so hard because we've been learning a lot more about Jay this season and his time with the Rangers... we see it with Mouse and the little interactions concerning their past service... something from his past is coming back and it's like a ghost haunting him. It hurt so much to see him lose it and he was alone...
3)The end of season 1 when Antonio goes home and Laura's gone and she took the kids. I have an issue with families falling apart and one parents taking the kids away without even talking to the other parent. It was a low blow on Laura's part and she was selfish because she refused to understand Antonio's job. Seeing him hold that letter and cry because his family was gone, despite everything he'd done to keep them together... nope... can't do it.
