Favourite Quote

Like in the Chicago Fire 30-Day Challenge... I'm doing one per season and a bonus quote... I can't just pick one...

Season 1:

This applies to anything in life.  Nobody can understand everyone else's life.  No one can walk up to a doctor and tell them how to do their job if their not trained in it.  Same goes for cops, firefighters, lawyers, teachers, nurses, farmers... the list goes on.  This quote is on the cork board in my classroom.  No one knows how hard anything is... and they certainly shouldn't be assuming anything.

Season 2:

"Erin, I'm not your boss. I don't care where you were. But know that I am looking out for you. Whatever you got going on upstairs, you gotta face it head on."                  -Jay Halstead

I really like this one because it applies to any situation.  We always have someone there for us, we have to trust them, believe in them and know that they're always there to help.  It also applies because we can't just hide our heads in the sand when something doesn't go our way.  We have to fight for what we want or what we believe in.

Season 3: 

"It's fine. I accept it now. You don't want to be on the hook. I am letting you off."           -Kim Burgess

This may be a weird one to chose, but I find it very inspiring.  In life, there are people who are just there dragging us down or trying to hold us back.  By getting rid of them, or stopping their negative attitude, we can continue to move on.  While in Kim's case, it's a lot harder than it seems, but she needed it, because Adam wasn't all in on the wedding.  I've cut out a lot of people in my life the last few years, not because I didn't like them, but because I was tired of the drama and stupidity that they brought to my life.  I feel so much more alive now that they're gone.
