Seeing as Mouch and Platt tied the knot on fire this week... I move on to LINSTEAD!
It's obvious that they belong together, and I personally think marriage would level them both out. Erin needs that stability and support that comes with marriage and Jay in turn would get that shoulder to lean on by having a loving wife like Erin. I also think that their attitude on the job would change. They'd be less likely to jump to action before thinking something through clearly as we've seen them do often in the last couple seasons. I also think that (since I suspect Jay has PTSD) marriage would be a way for Jay to realize he isn't alone in this and that he can talk about it. Erin has learned that keeping things bottled up is bad... she can teach him how to recover and cope too.
And... we're at the end. It's been an awesome 30 days... it's made me think a lot about this show and the characters and my love of them all. It has also led to me have amazing conversations with my husband which has been hard because of the stress I've been undergoing with my job. So thank you to 1774Hemmings for coming up with this challenge. Thank you for giving me a way to reconnect with my husband. It's been a blast...
