Emma POV
I was woken by the sound of gun fire and the smell of rotting corpses. I quickly grabbed my bow and ran out of the tent. I saw Merle on one side of our camp and Daryl on the other they where both fighting off a couple of walkers each. As I looked to Daryl I had caught the eye of a wallet and it began to stumble towards me. I soon sore it and shot it, killing it. I saw Merle get jumped by one and I quickly ran over to him and kicked the walker off him and shot it in the eye.
It was over.
"What a way to be woken up". I giggled uncontrollably, in both shock and nerves. My laughter must have been contagious because Merle and Daryl both joined in with me.
We finally came to our senses and stoped laughing. We washed of the walker blood and guts of our selves in a near by stream. It was a bit of having a bath in my clothes but I only had one set and they needed cleaning. We then burnt the bodies and had some breakfast.
"Come on pack your stuff it's time to go". Daryl huffed as he stood up.
"Seriously.....I'm still soaked to the bone". I argued
"Em you'll dry off soon and when we get to the CDC in Atlanta they'll probably give you some clean dry clothes". Merle Said as he walked over to me.
"But I don't want to go yet". I moaned and stood up.
"Well you can stay here but we'll be going". Daryl smirked and walked off to pack.
"Fine I'll come". I sighed as I walked back to my tent to pack.
We had finally gotten onto the road that lead into Atlanta and the roads where packed full of cars. We weaved in and out of the cars until we saw what looked like a barrier that must have been to protect the CDC. We clambered out of the car and walked though and saw nothing but destroyed cars and bits of buildings
"I don't like this". I said as i huddled closer to Merle who put his arm around me.
"They must have made the CDC radius smaller because of the infestation". Merle said trying to cheer me up but failing miserably.
"Great a small safe island in the middle of walker infested waters.....sounds great". Daryl mocked.
We turned a corner to find the whole street covered with walkers.
"RUUUUUUN". Daryl shouted.
We all ran as fast as we could until we where cornered of by more walkers. We now had walkers to our back, front and to our right.I ran left and I did not stop until I found an open door to run into. I ran through the door and turned to face my brother's.
But they where gone.
