Emma POV
I quietly got out of bed careful not to wake anyone, they had, had a long hard day yesterday and deserved a lie in. I strapped my weapons on my back ( I am never going anywhere with out them after the events of yesterday), put my blue do-rag in my back pocket, pick up my hunting knife and my shoes and walked off the perch in my socks. I walked out side, the sun had not come all the way up but it was a beautiful sun rise.
I sat on the floor to put my shoes on and slipped my knife in my sheath.I walked onto the prison field, got my swords out of my sheaths and started practicing. I know I didn't have anyone to practice with but it's not like walkers are suddenly going to start fighting back. Well you never know. The world's already gone to shit, what the worst that could happen?
I carried on training until the sun came up properly. I put my sword back in my sheaths and started walking back to the cell block, I knew Daryl would be up by now. As I walked back to the cell block I saw Daryl sitting in front of Carols grave. I slowly walked over to him and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Me, Carl and Oscar are searching the rest of the prison today. We might find carol cos we never did find her body. Only found T's and Carol bandanna". Daryl said solemnly. Carol and Daryl had a good friendship, something that I couldn't replace.
"You will find her. Aren't you the best tracker in the world". I said a little jokingly. I took my hand off his shoulder.
"Well I am now". Daryl smirked as he stood up. "Come on let's go eat".
"Agreed". I said as Daryl put his arm over my shoulder and we walked back into the cell block.
As we walked in we saw everyone sitting and eating in silence.
"There's two bowls of porridge on the counter for you two". Maggie said.
"Thanks Maggie". I said as I grabbed my bowl and sat down on a set of stairs.
Daryl to nodded his thanks as he picked up his bowl and sat down next to me. We where half way through our bowls as Rick came to the gate that lead from the tombs, to our cell block.
"Everybody ok". Rick asked as he walked trough the gate.
Everyone looked up at him a little in shock. "Yeah we are". Maggie said relieved.
"What about you". Herschel asked.
"Cleared out the boiler block". Rick dogged the question.
"How many were there". Daryl asked.
"I don't know. Dozen, two dozen. I have to get back, just wanted to check on Carl". Rick patted Carl on the back then started to walk back into the tombs.
"Rick we can handle taking out the the bodies, you don't have to". Glenn stood up from his place at the table, Rick stopped and turned around.
"No, I do". Rick as he walked over to me and Daryl. "Everyone have a gun and a knife". He ordered.
"Yeah". Daryl nodded.
"We're running low on ammo though". I said.
"Maggie and me were planning on making a run this afternoon, found a phone book. Some places we can hit, look for bullets and formula". Glenn spoke up.
"Cleared out the generator room, Axle's here trying to fix it. Case of emergency we'll sweep the lower levels as well". Daryl said.
"Good, good". Rick said and walked back into the tombs shutting the door behind him.
We all sighed and carried on eating our food. When we had all finished we all started getting ready to do our own thing. I walked over to where Daryl was getting ready.
