I woke up with my head laying on Lucas' bare chest. I smiled to myself and attempted to slip out of his bed to let him sleep some more but he stopped me and pulled me back to him.

"Where do you think you're going?" Lucas whispered groggily, rubbing his eyes.

"I was going to let you sleep some more, sleeping beauty." I reply, pecking him on the lips.

"Sleep is irrelevant when you're around." Lucas replied, pulling me into a sort of horizontal hug. I blushed and pulled away realizing what day it is.

"It's Sunday!" I exclaim, leaping out of bed and rushing to my suitcase, scattering the contents all over the floor. I rummaged through the pile until I picked up my white Michael Kors wallet (it came with the white purse).

"What does that mean?" Lucas asked, looking slightly worried.

"Shopping!" I cried

------------------------

I slipped on the light wash, ripped, denim jeans and admired my butt in the mirror.

Not bad.

I told myself.

Not great.

It hissed back.

I walked out of the changing booth to see Lucas casually looking down at his phone, waiting for me to emerge. He looked up and his eyes widened instantly. A smile played on his lips.

"You look stunning." Lucas grinned. I blushed and turned 360 degrees, so he could see the full spectrum. His grin widened and he gave me a thumbs up.

"Thanks, boo." I teased. He snickered and his eyes fell back to his phone as I tried on more pairs of jeans

After twelve pairs of jeans, all of which Lucas had approved, I stood staring at him, annoyed.

"But which one did you like most? Which one was your favorite?" I asked impatiently.

"I don't know, Maya. I can't choose." Lucas shrugged.

"Ugh! You're no help!" I groaned a turned to walk back into the stall.

"Get the light ones that were ripped." Lucas called.

Finally.

I thought.

"The light-wash jeans?" I corrected him, chuckling.

"Whatever." He muttered and rolled his eyes. I smiled at the back of his head and changed back into what I had come in. I exited the stall holding the light-wash jeans and strutted to the counter, expecting Lucas to follow me.

"Hey, cutie, will this be all today?" The cute cashier winked at me. I blushed and nodded, handing him the jeans. I was surprised at his audaciousness to flirt with me when Lucas was behind me, but a quick glance back told me that Lucas was not in fact standing behind me. "You're all set. Come back at 4, that's when I get off." He whispered and turned to head into the back. I took the bag and looked at my receipt, which had a note stapled to it.

see you at four. don't forget. 1(816)8373536 -Ryan

I blushed again and tucked the note in my pocket. Lucas, who had realized that I had already bought my clothing and was heading over, noticed this movement and immediately questioned it.

"The cashier just gave me a note, that's all. He was kind of flirty." I said, replaying our conversation in my mind.

"Oh was he?" Lucas said, not sounding excited, but very, very, annoyed. "Well if he was so generous with leaving you a note than let's leave one for him as well." Lucas snatched the paper and pulled a pen out of his shirt pocket, scribbling something on the paper before slamming it onto the counter. I got one glance at the paper before Lucas dragged me away. I smiled and blushed in unison. How could he make me feel this way?

She's with me.

--------------------

"I'm surprised you're not weirded out by this." I admitted and picked up a pair of rose (light pink) and white striped panties with a lacy border. "Do you like these?" I asked.

"Yeah, they'd look cute on you." He replied. "I had to go shopping with my mom and sister back in Texas so I have gotten used to is. And before you ask, no I have never gone shopping with another female who I wasn't related to until now. Not even Riley." Lucas read my mind. I blushed and nodded, rummaging through more underwear piles. He handed me a pair of soft grey pajama shorts and smiled.

"Try those on. They would look amazing on you." He winked. I nodded and walked over to the changing rooms.

He's the perfect shopping partner.

"Thanks, I've enjoyed shopping with you, too." Lucas called over the stall. I jumped, not expecting his response, and banged my head on the wall. It started throbbing and I fell to the ground in a fetal position. Lucas ran in and held me as I whimpered. He kissed my throbbing head and rocked me back and forth like a baby. "Shh, Maya, shh. I'm here, you're okay. It's only temporary, baby, only temporary." Lucas soothed me, rubbing my back. "On the bright side, you look great in those shorts."

And that was all it took to make me smile again.
