New board

I woke up to an annoying ray of sunlight shining through my window. ' Why so early' I thought while stretching in my bed. I looked around my room to find a basket of candy on my dresser. For a second, I thought ' who would give a basket to me, I have no friends.' But then it came to me. Sterling. Did I forget to tell you about her? She is also my other friend that I met last year. We've became really close to each other over the past months. She told me last week that she got a gift for me for our 1 year friendship anniversary. I didn't know that was thing until she told me.

Sterling has red straight hair and freckles on her nose. She's petite and frail looking but once you get to know her, she turns into a beast. Onetime, I planned to do a surprise party for her birthday and I told her mom about it. She was okay with it and I told her to leave the door unlocked for me so I can get in easily to decorate. So I snuck in and sneezed. Next thing you know I'm pinned down to the floor. Sterling tackled me, but when she saw it was me, she started apologizing. I told her it was okay and we stayed at her house and did fun things for her birthday instead of the party. It was a cool night .

I got out of bed and went over to the basket. Inside of it was Starbursts, Skittles, M&M's, Snickers, Smarties ( the big ones), and lollipops. I thought to myself 'man this chick is awesome!' Before I could begin to eat the candy, my mom walked in. " Morning honey! What's that?" She asked in this sweet tone.
" It's a basket that Sterling got me. It was for a 1 year friendship anniversary. I'm still wondering how she got it in here." I told her.
"Maybe she went through the window?" Mom said in a questionable tone. " Maybe" After I said that , I opened up a bag of skittles and began eating them right when my mom snatched them out of my hand. " Hey! give those back I was trying to eat ." I snapped at her trying to get them back. " No. You're supposed to eat breakfast in the morning, not candy." She said about to stand up. " Fine have it your way." I tackled her onto my bed and we began wrestling each other . We do this a lot so it's not a big deal.

After about 3 minutes of wresting, my mom got I top of me and began talking. " Okay let's make a deal. If you get showered and dressed , then you can have your candy after eating breakfast. " she told me. "Mmmmm... Okay. Just get off of me. I'm about to turn into a pancake cause of you ." I smirked . " Be quiet , I'm not that fat." my mom giggled while getting off of me. "Speaking of pancakes, you want some for breakfast? " she asked. " YESSSS!!!!" I shouted at her. " Ok, get dressed. By the way, your dad is at a co-workers house right now so don't try to look for him." Mom said while walking out. I nodded then got up .

I went to my dresser and picked out some light washed Jean shorts with a shirt that's says 'Exotic Pineapple ' and my Obey sweatshirt. After getting my clothes out, I got my orchid and blueberry scent soap and a wash cloth then walked to my bathroom. I stripped down then got into the shower turning the warm water on. It was cold at first which made me shriek but then warmed up. After at least 15 minutes of showering, I got out and dried off. Then I put my strawberry scent lotion on. Once I was done, I put my clothes on, put my hair in a messy bun and went down stairs to smell blueberry pancakes being cooked.

"Dang mama, dat smells gooood!" I exclaimed letting the ooo part run on. " Thanks girly. Here you go." She said passing me a plate of fluffy blueberry pancakes with raspberries on top with turkey sausage on the side. I don't eat beef or pork because I feel bad for that pig or cow that I'd eat. I took the first bite and my eyes went big. " Geeze this is good!! I haven't tasted pancakes this good since the ones Mrs. Caiden cooked in Australia!" I exclaimed with pancakes in my mouth . " Well thank you but Savannah Taylor Summer, close your mouth while eating . You can choke." My mom smirked a little while telling me that . It annoyed her every time me or my dad did that. " Sorry." I giggled.

" So, what are we gonna do today?" Mom asked. " Don't know. Maybe go to the mall with Sterling." I answered her. " Oh I forgot to tell to you, Sterling and her sister Jade went out of town with their family for a vacation." Mom said . " Great well looks like I'm spending the day with my mom . Again." I mumbled the last part but I think she heard me. " Hey,I'm not that bad. We can go to the mall and maybe go to Mrs. Curtis's house so you and Julie can hang out." She suggested. " Ok but Julie doesn't even like me. I think I scare her." I told mom. " Why say that?" She asked " Every time I try to talk to her , she flinches for some reason then runs away! " I exclaimed. " Ok well then we don't have to go. Now get your but up , put the plate in the sink and go change into something appropriate for outside." Mom demanded. " Why? What's wrong with exotic pineapple ? I like it. " I questioned her. " Fine then, I guess no new penny board that you had your eye on for a while." She said while taking a magazine of the table. My eyes went bulging out of my head. "OKAY I'll CHANGE!!!!!" I shouted running up the stairs.

I ran to the dresser and got out dark blue jeans , a neon yellow shirt with the number 13 on the back , my black vans and took my hair out of the bun then out it into a high ponytail. I got my sling bag with my number 13 on it and put my money, phone charger , and make up bag in it. When I say make up, I mean lip balm, mascara, and lotion. So technically my fake make up bag. I put on my cherry blossom perfume and ran down stairs to find my mom standing by the door. " Ready Hun?" She asked. " Yep!" I cheered while running out the door. I was excited because I really wanted to get that penny board. It was a galaxy type with blue wheels that glowed in the dark. It costed $80.00 but it was worth it.
**************Skip Car ride****************

We finally arrived to the mall after listening to 'Glamours' by Fergie. My mom sometimes feels like my sister. She wants to be young again is what she told me. We got out and headed into a store which was Forever 21. I found a sweatshirt that said 'You only live once so surf for as longs as you can'. I love it . Then I got 5 shirts with different designs on them. My favorite was the Aztec one. I got 3 pairs of shorts, 4 pairs of jeans, new headbands, and new earrings. After that we went to the Van store. I got a galaxy print sneaker and Aztec print. When we were finished shopping, we went to the food court and got Chipotle.

We sat down and I started scarfing done my burrito. "Savannah would you slow down. You want to savor your food." She demanded. I listened and ate slower. "So, have you seen any cute boys yet? Cause I've seen some that you'd like." She smirked at me. " Mom!" I exclaimed .
" What I'm just saying!" She announced then put her salad in her mouth.

We finally arrived to the store where I could get my penny board. I ran over to the shelf where it was at and grabbed it. The clerk to it from me and scanned it. I grabbed the money from my wallet but saw that I was ten bucks short. " Crap I'm ten bucks short. Well I guess that's it." I said and hung my head getting ready to take it back to the shelf. " Oh no you don't . You've wanted this board for so long I can't even count so here." mom said and handed me the money. I gave her the biggest hug and gave the clerk the money. Once he finished , he gave me the board. I was so happy that I pulled my mom out of the store and ran to the car. " I'm so excited to ride this thing!!!" I yelled at my mom. " I'm so happy for you . When we get home you can ride to the park!" She suggested. " Ok! Mom I love you thanks for this !" I kissed her cheek .

----------------Skip the car ride----------------

When my mom pulled up the drive way, I ran out the car and took my penny board with me. I rode to the park and through it. Dang this thing was smooth. I found a bench to sit at and decided to text my mom.

M😘-Okay honey! Do you like the board?
S-Yes it's awesome . It rides so smoothly !😁
M😘- Oh well that's good to hear ! Well I'm making dinner. How about Chicken Enchiladas tonight?

(Convo over)

I finished texting my mom when I heard yelling. I looked up from my phone to see about 5 boys running through groups of birds. One was screaming " GET OUT OF HERE!!!" Another was screaming " I LOVE APPLES!!!" The other guys were recording them. I was just staring at them when I noticed that the one screaming I love apples was gone. I didn't really care though. When I went back to my phone, someone sat down next to me.

" Hi I'm Matt ! " he exclaimed.
" Hi." I whispered hoping he couldn't hear me. " Is that your board?" He asked. Why is he talking to me?
" Uh... Yeah" I answered looking away. " Well it's cool." Matt complimented. "Thanks." I smiled. " Hey , you want to ride around with me? The guys are being butt wipes right now." He asked. I laughed and said " Sure why not I have nothing better to do." I jumped up. We rode together laughing and talking.
