Chapter Nineteen

"Sleep with me." I demanded gently, and Daryl's head turned to look at me over his shoulder, eyebrows furrowed together. "Wha'?" I gnawed on the inside of my cheek, "I don't want to sleep alone tonight...please?"

He looked into my eyes before grunting, giving me a nod as he stood up from his crouched position, leaving the unfinished arrows on the floor as he followed me to my cell, letting down the privacy curtain (something Carol had came up with) as he entered behind me.

I turned to face him as he stepped forward. He slid out of his vest, dropping it on the floor as I reached out to him, undoing the buttons of his shirt letting it fall off his shoulders.

He watched me carefully as I ran my hands up and down his front, exploring every inch of his chest with my fingers. He let out a small groan as I did so, and his eyes fluttered closed.

I leaned up to kiss him, and he returned the gesture passionately, causing me to whimper. His hands moved my sides, fingers sliding under the hem of my shirt, a grunt signaling for me to hold my arms up.

He pulled it over my head tossing it to the side as his lips left mine to continue their journey down to my neck.

Our naked bodies were pressed together, our panted breaths being the only thing we heard. "I love you, Daryl." I panted out, and suddenly I became more aware of what I had just said, my eyes going wide when I felt his body tense against mine.

He said nothing back, and soon I heard the light snoring, alerting me that he was asleep. I felt so stupid....
