Bella's POV:

After I walked out of class, I couldn't help but blush. I can't believe I got his number! Okay, Bella calm down. I opened my locker to get out my biology book. "Girl I can't believe you got Mr. Mouse's phone number," Alexis says, closing my locker and almost hitting me. "Okay first off, you almost hit me and second, his name is Jayden and how do you know I got his phone number?" I asked, looking pissed. "Perry told me." "That jerk." "Girl bye, you dated him." "Okay and? I didn't like him anyway." "Yeah, sure," she said rolling her eyes. "Whatever, why do you care anyway?" "Because he doesn't even talk. He's a weirdo." "Yeah, you're right. I'm not even gonna text him." I put my book in my bag and we walked to the parking lot. "I'll see you later, don't forget, we're meeting at my house." "Okay girl, see ya." I got into my pink and white Audi and drove off. I didn't mean what I said about Jayden. I think I actually like him, but what if I do, I don't want people to know.

JAYDEN'S POV:

I got out of my car and walked inside. My house was huge for it to be just three children. I have a 6-year-old brother and a 6-year-old sister, Aden and Alexa, they're identical twins, we could barely tell them apart when they were younger. I'm thankful for them because my parents always treat me like a kid they never wanted. They yell and curse at me for no reason, they make me do stupid things. Well, my mom is actually nice, it's just my dad. He's too hard on me, he expects me to be this cocky, good-looking jock. But I'm not, I'm just a nerdy boy that likes to hang out with my friends and read, am I that pathetic? He's the reason why I have insecurities, I hate the way I look, and I hate who I am. He always brags on his friend's sons, I will never be like those jerks. I walk into the kitchen to grab a snack when I hear my mom talking. "Hi mom," I say to her, kissing her on the cheek. She's very short, she's 4'11 I like teasing her about her height because it's cute watching a little angry woman jumping up and down, screaming at you. "Hi sweetheart, how was your day?" "It was fine." "Did you meet any girls?" "Mom." She knows I'm shy and insecure. "Sorry sweetie, I just want you to be happy, I would love to see you in love. What girl wouldn't want a cutie like you? " She squeezes my cheeks. "I know mom, but those girls are wayyy out of my league." I grab some chips and run out of the kitchen before she can say anything else. "Jay! What's up, dude." "Jay Jay! I missed you!" The twins exclaim at the same time, I almost didn't understand them. Chuckling, I hug them. "Hey, guys, what's up."  They are always happy to see me. I tell them everything. Things I don't even tell my own friends, and they never break promises. "Oh, nothing much. Do you have any stories?" Alexa asks, pulling me to the couch. I laugh and nod my head. "To the story room!" Aden screams, running up the stairs. I laugh again and look at Alexa, who didn't run up the stairs. "What's wrong Lex?" "Twin, can you pick me up?" Lex calls me her twin also, since I don't have a twin. I pick her up and run to our "story room." Every time one of us has stories to tell, we meet in the big room in the back of the house. "Story timmeeee!" Alexa screams excitedly. I opened the door to the room and put her down.

"Okay, tell us the story," They say in unison. We go and sit at the table that's in the middle of the room, we decorated it, and what I mean by "we" I mean "them," I just watched. "Okay, so there's this girl named Bella right. " "Omg a girl! " Alexa screams, jumping up and down. "Miss shorty, sit down." Aden laughs at her. "Fine, fat tubby." "I'm not fat." "Yes, you are." "Am not." "Are too!" "Am not!" "Are-" "Guys stop, this is story time, not world star," I say, laughing my head off before clearing my throat and continuing. "Yes, a girl. She gave me her number today." "Woooooo." they say. "Ha. But she's out of my league. " "What do you mean?" They ask. "I mean, a girl like her wouldn't date a guy like me." "Twin yes she would," Alexa says, getting up and sitting in my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck. They know about my problems, they are always telling me how good-looking I am and stuff, it's adorable, even though it's not true. "Yeah, Jay, you're hot man... I mean your cool dude," Aden says, sighing at what he just said. I laugh. "They don't think that A." "Forget about those girls, you have us," Alexa says, grabbing my face so I could look at her. This little girl is my life. "I know Lex, but I like this girl." "But what about us?" She says, pouting. "I love you guys," I respond, kissing her cheek and messing up Aden's hair. "Not the hair bro," He says, fixing his hair. "Jay Jay, if you like her, why won't you tell her?" "It's not that easy baby." "How come?" "I'm too scared and what if she doesn't feel the same way?" "You won't know unless you ask." "Miss Shorty shut up. Jay just wait till you guys get closer, it'll all come naturally." "You're right A." This little guy was "smooth" with the ladies. "Of course I am. I'm a chick magnet." He says, rolling up his sleeve and kissing his "bicep." "Fatty, shut up, you're a stink magnet, take a shower before you try to "get girls." Alexa says, looking disgusted and putting air quotes in the air when she says "get girls." "Ahh you little-." "Guys stop, story time is over." "Aww, but what about Bella, Jay Jay?" Alexa says, getting out of my lap. "I don't know yet Lex." I say, letting out a sigh. "Jay are you gonna text her?" Aden asks. "Nah, she wouldn't text me back." "Well give it to me." I laugh. "She's too old for you A." "No, she's not, I like older women too." "Stick to 6 year olds buddy." We walked out of the "story room" and I went into my room and fell on my bed. What a long day.

I finish my homework in like an hour, I'm pretty smart, I guess. I just remembered to call Kyle. I grab my phone and call him and he picks up on the first ring. "What's up bro!" He yells into the phone. I swear, out of school, this guy stays hype. "Just finished my homework." "Ahh... Wanna go to Jill's?" Jill's was our favorite place to go, they had some good food. "Dude yes!" "Alright, see ya in 20." With that being said he hung up. I jumped out of my bed and grabbed my keys. "I'm going to Jill's mom," I yelled, and ran out of the house. Kyle drives fast so he's probably already there.

In 15 minutes, I made it to Jill's. I walked in and it was packed. Girls are all up on guys, kissing their necks, guys grabbing their butts, and doing other inappropriate things. Get a room, you nasty people. I looked around and spotted Kyle. "What's up bruh." We did our "bro handshake." "Dude, I've been here for 5 minutes," told you he drives fast. "No shxt, I don't drive 80 in a 40-mile an-hour speed limit," I say, chuckling. "Whatever dude, I'm hungry." The waitress came and took our orders. They knew our orders by heart: 2 giant cheeseburgers, 2 large fries, 2 strawberry sodas, and 2 ice cream sundaes. I usually don't eat all of mine, so I give the leftovers (the sundae that I never get to) to the twins. We were about to tear through our food when two guys came to our table. "Hey, they don't have any more tables and I'll be damned if I go to Penny's, that shit is nasty." One of the guys says, resulting in Kyle and I laughing. The other guy stops laughing and asks "Can we sit with u guys?" "Yea, sure." We scoot over and let them in. After the waitress brought them their food we started eating and talking. Turns out, those guys went to our school. They were Alec and Jake, the "trouble makers" at our school. Alec wasn't really bad, he was 6'0 also, well both of them. Jake on the other hand is meaner, he's a cool guy but he's like the "bad ass" out of those two. They were really cool though. We had literally every class with each other, they told us that we could hang out with them and Jake would teach us how to stand up for ourselves and Alec will teach us how to be more confident and etc. These guys were awesome, I hope I can get Bella with using my new "confidence" that they're gonna teach me. From now on, all of us are going to meet after school every day at Jill's, I can't wait till I tell mom and the twins. These guys weren't really bad though, they were nerds that try to act bad. And the cool thing is, all of us live in the same neighborhood, this is going to be awesome.

After we exchanged numbers, we left. I went back home to tell the twins. It was 8 when I got back, so my dad was home and the twins were "sleeping," they never go to sleep on time, but I always pretend they are. I walked into the house and my dad looked angry. Here we go, I sighed. "What?" I asked. "Where the hell were you? You didn't show up for dinner," he growled. "I was at Jill's with my friends." "Friends? You mean Kyle," he scoffed. "No, we have two new friends now." "I don't give a f***, you know what time dinner starts, I'm tired of you Jayden. You're always out late and you come home pretending like everything is peachy. I'm sick of you." "I didn't even do anything." "You did everything, like being born and being a disappointment, why can't you be like every other boy your age?" He spits out at me. "Well, I'm sorry that I was ever born! I'm sorry for being a disappointment, I'm sorry that I'm not a big, dumb ass jock, I'm sorry I can't get girls, I'm sorry I'm not your dream child, I'm sorry you don't love me, I'm sorry for being this nerd that makes straight fucking A's just to make you guys happy, I'm sorry for being this tall insecure pussy that doesn't even talk at school. I'm sorry dad, I'm sorry for BEING ME!" I yelled, my voice cracking with every word I said. I ran upstairs and slammed my door. I run to my bathroom and drop to the floor, crying. He's the reason why I'm so insecure, he's the reason why I'm always stressed. He's the reason why I never feel like I'm accepted. Everything I am, he's the reason, he never loved me, even Kyle's dad loves him, but noooo my dad hates my fucking guts. I cry harder, pulling at my hair. I get up and go into my cabinet and get out a blade. I've never cut before but now is terrible. I look at the blade, tears running down my face faster every time I blink. My hands are shaking fast, very fast, and my heart is beating like I'm running a marathon. I lean my head back and I slit my wrist. It felt good, I slit and slit and slit, thinking about how big of a failure I am. I look into the mirror before dropping to my knees. My wrist is hurting so bad I can't take it. There are about 15 cuts. I cry for what feels like hours. This is the life of Jayden Waterson, the ugly nerd.
