ITS THE DAY!

Jayden's POV:

It's been 3 months since we've last saw Slady.

They don't know what's going on anymore, everyone is going crazy, especially Alec.

Last time we been there, he came into the waiting room, screaming and hollering, he was crying so hard.

He told us what happened and that before he left he said something and her heart rate shot up and they had to call the main Doctor.

I hope she's okay, they said that her body was trying to heal, but it's not moving fast enough, but that was 3 months ago so we don't know what happened now. They also said that if she doesn't wake up in 2 months or if it takes a year, she might die.

They told us that we can come when she wakes up because we don't need to be stressing and that's just making Alec stress even more!

It's been 4 months since I took the twins and last month our parents sent a court letter.

Today is the day.

I'm nervous every but confident, they said that if I win, they can move in with us, but if I lose...

We have to come back.

I was going in to speak with the judge today, 30 minutes before trial so we could discuss what's going on, we have a good lawyer also, Bell's mom's friend.

I really hope we win.

I had one a white dress shirt and a black tie with my black dress shoes and all black slacks.

It was 10:30, I need to be there by 11 and it'll start at 11:30.

Bell, her mom and the sets of twins were coming, I hope this works.

"Y'all ready?!" Crystal, Bell's mom yelled from down stairs.

I was in the mirror, I wasn't looking in it, I was looking down at my clothes, I haven't passed the looking in the mirror step yet.

"Bae, you look so cute! You ready to win our babies over?" Bell asked, she had just came from the bathroom.

My eyes widened, she looked so beautiful in her dress, even though it was just a simple black and white dress, she had some black heels on too, we matched.

"You look beautiful. We got this. I hope." I mumbled the last part.

Bell grabbed her phone and purse and we walked down stairs.

"Ready?" Crystal asked, we nodded and she handed us our plates, "y'all can eat in the car." The twins were throwing there plates away.

"Ladies, y'all look beautiful." I said to Alexa and Jakayla. They blushed and hugged me, "mama, you look beautiful too." I said to Crystal.

"I know." She said and we laughed. We walked out the house and got into the car.

Good thing out breakfast was cereal.

We ate in the car. "Jay. Do you know the quickest way there?" Crystal asked, I was in the back seat.

"Yea, just get on I46, then drive for like 3 miles and then get off on 37D and it'll be on the right." I said, my dad used to go to jail a lot, so I knew it by heart.

We ate and talked in the car, I felt a tug on my shirt, I looked over and it was Lexa.

"Huh?" I whispered. She motioned for me to lean in closer and so I did, "please don't let them take us Jay Jay." She whispered.

That broke my heart, I knew I had to fight harder.

"Of course Princess, I would never let them take you guys away from me." "Promise?" "Baby I can't promise you that, I can promise you that I won't give up." She smiled and I kissed her cheek and she blushed.

There was another tug, on my left side this time.

"Wassup A." I whispered, he pulled my head down and whispered in my ear. "Jay, I don't wanna go back, please, I love living with Ms. Crystal and Bell and the others. They can't take us right?" He whispered.

"Yes buddy, they can, but I can try my best to not let y'all go back there. I love living with them too, but let's just pray to God that we can stay that way okay?" I whispered to him.

He smiled sadly, I smiled back and kissed him on his head, "I love you guys A." "We love you too twin." They whispered back. I almost cried, I can't lose this.

"Almost there y'all." I took a deep breath, "you got this Jay." Jakayla and Jordan told me and I smiled, "I know y'all got my back." "Always." Everybody said in the car.

We pulled into the court's parking lot. "Jay you got this okay? Just tell them the truth and everything will be okay." Crystal said.

I nodded and we got out of the car. I grabbed Alexa's hand and she grabbed Adien's and I grabbed Bell's hand with my right hand. She looked over and smiled. "Kay and Jor." Bell said and she reached her hand out and Jakayla grabbed her right hand and Jordan took his sisters hand and their mom grabbed his.

See this is what you call FAMILY.

We walked into the court room and everyone but Bell went and sat down.

"Babe I'm nervous." I said, I rested my chin on the top of her head as we stayed in our embrace.

"Look at me." She said, I took my chin off of her head and she looked up at me as I looked down.

"Nervous for what? Why be nervous when I know your strong. This is your time to man up, you got this okay? Now I want you to go in there, tell that judge what happened and I won't you to fight for A and Lexa you hear me? Do it for you guys, you deserve them more than they do bae and you know that and so do they. When you speak in front of everyone, just think about what they've put you through and you got this." She said, and my jaws clenched.

I took a deep breath and she cupped my cheeks. I closed my eyes and took steady breaths.

"Do it for the twins and most importantly, do it for you." She whispered and I felt her soft lips on mines, I smiled when she pulled back.

"I'm doing it for all of us. When we graduate we're leaving and moving to Europe. I promise." I said and kissed her forehead. She blushed and she walked away and I took a deep breath and knocked on the judge's door.
