Chapter three

The weekend was now over I had go for another week of school, great.

Summer break was very close so I was happy about that. Michael and I went to different schools so we said goodbye to each other and walked to school.

I put my earplugs in and put my music on shuffle.

The walk wasn't to far, only 10 minutes, so I wasn't surprised when I got to school quickly.

I went to my locker and grabbed my books for PC (or homeroom), Maths and Science. I put my phone and earplugs into my locker and started to walk to PC.

"Ruby, hey!" I heard my friend Maya call for me down the hall.

I smiled warmly at her and walked to her. "Hey Maya! How was your weekend?"

"Same old, same old." She shrugged then smirked at me. "A little birdie told me you and your brother's friend had a hot make out sesh on the weekend."

I rolled my eyes. "And by that birdie you mean Jess?"

"Maybe." She said and giggled a little.

Typical Jess.

"Hey I'll catch you later." I said to her and entered my PC then sat next to Jess.

"Ruby, thank god your here omg." Jess said.

"Jess, no one says 'omg' out loud anymore..." I laughed at her.

"Whatever. Anyways, you have to come to Westfield with me this afternoon!" She exclaimed.

( AN: for those of you who don't live in Australia, Westfield is the name of a shopping centre. I think there's like 3 in Sydney.)

"Why?" I asked curiously.

She flipped her hair over her shoulder and continued, "Calum asked me on a date!"

"Woah when did this happen?"

"Well we got along really well the other day and got each other's numbers. We haven't stopped texting SINCE!" She squealed.

"So why do I need to come with you?" I asked.

"Because I need another opinion, duh." She said, like I should know that.

I could use some new perfume... Plus it wouldn't hurt to help Jess out.

"Okay okay fine I'll go." I gave in.

"Thank you thank you I love you!" She said and jumped on me.

I pushed her off and just gave her a small smile.

After we had done all the shopping we needed and Jess was ready to go, she dropped me at my house then went to where ever the hell she was going.

"Michael I'm ho- oh, hey Luke."

Luke was sitting on the couch watching some cartoon. "Michael's in the kitchen."

"Okay." I said. "Well I'm gonna go upstairs and shower."

He nodded and turned back to the TV. I just rolled my eyes and walked upstairs into the bathroom.

I quickly undressed, put my clothes into the laundry shoot, and jumped into the shower, sighing as the warm water hit my back.

It was only after my shower that I realised I didn't have a towel. I opened the door to see if anyone was there and slowly walked out of the bathroom when I saw no one was there so I quickly walked around the corner only to go head first into someone's chest.

"Uh-h hey Ruby." Luke said nervously.

I was literally mortified. Luke started to look me up and down, and only then did I realise I was naked. Shit.

"I um I forgot a towel." I tried to explain. Then ran off to my room.
