You were wandering the forest of Mirkwood. Taking a walk in the green woods always did seem to calm you. It also helped you get your mind off things. Things like the prince. And his soft, beautiful hair. And the way his eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue. And how his.voice seemed to lull you into a trance. And-wait a Minute, I'm trying to get my mind off him, you thought. You just couldn't help it. You were head over heels for the golden haired archer. But tou knew it was hopeless. What could an elf like him, a prince, see in you? Besides, even if he did see something in you, it wouldn't matter. His father, the king, barely allowed them two of you to spend time together, so of course he would never let his sone love you.
Behind you, you heard a snap of a twig. You looked around quickly, snapped out of your pondering state. It certainly seemed much darker than it did a moment ago. You could no longer see the difference between the edge of the forest and the spot you were in. Surely you would have realized it if it had gotten late, right?
Things seemed unnaturally quiet. It was as if the whole forest was holding its breath in anticipation. But what was it anticipating?
You swiftly found out though as a spider crashed out behind you. Quickly, you drew a dagger and threw it. But obviously this spider saw that coming, as it batted it away with its long spindly legs. Unfortunately for you, you had only thought to bring your two daggers. That meant that you only had a single dagger to try and defeat a giant spider with. Clearly the odds were not at all in your favor!
The spider advanced, it's sharp pincers snapping.
"You stay away!" You yelled, pointing your single knife at it.
The spider was clearly unimpressed as it continued towards you. It continued this way, person against spider, for a few moments. The spider was toying with you, advancing and retreating in this way. You tried a few times to do something, but there seemed to be no windows of opportunity. Running would require you lowering defenses, and there was no way you would do that. You hoped that maybe if you continued this dace of advance and retreat, perhaps the spider would lose interest. That, however, was not the case as the next time the spider advanced, it sprung.
The spider leaped forward, causing you to stumble back. You waved the dagger, slashing through the air but the spider ignored that, sidestepping the blows. It shot one leg out, hitting you in the side. You sidestepped from the lash, awkwardly stumbling against the side of a tree. The spider clearly noticed that you were against a tree as it leaped towards you, pinning you against the wood. It began to bind you in the white silken threads. You attempted to struggle but found that the threads were completely keeping you from moving. The spider had completely bound you except for your head. You let out a shrill screech. The spider slammed you back against the tree and leaned towards you, it's huge pincers parting, revealing two huge fangs.
Silence, it hissed. And the it sunk its fangs into your flesh.
You gasped as you felt the venom enter your veins. Slowly, your body began to slump. You let out one final thought, Legolas, don't forget me.
Alas, he certainly did not forget you. The last thing you saw before your eyes drifted shut was a flash of blond hair and an arrow lodged in the spider's neck.

You heard voices.
"She is is a delicate condition."
"But will she be okay?"
"One can only hope. It is lucky you came when you did. Any later and the venom would have flooded her system."
And then you heard a door, footsteps leaving the room, and soft footsteps coming towards you.
You tried to open your eyes, but they were too heavy. Wherever you were, it sure was comfortable. Was this heaven? But if it were, then why would they wonder if you were okay?
You felt a hand tenderly brush hair off your forehead.
"Don't leave me YN," the voice pleaded.
Legolas?
You let out a small squeak, trying to tell him you were okay.
"YN!"
"L-Leggy?" You were reduced to referring to him with the annoying pet name you shared as kids. You slowly forced your (ec) eyes to open a bit.
"YN, what happened. Why were you alone in the forest?!"
You winced slightly as you attempted to sit up.
"No, don't move. You might disturb the wound."
Looking down, you saw thick bandages wrapped around your chest.
Wait. How did you get here?
"Did you find me?"
"Yes. You were unconscious with a spider about to feast on you! The venom almost flooded your system YN. I thought I had lost you."
"Thank you for saving me."
"Just do not make me have to do it again."
You smiled slightly.
"I cannot promise that Blondie."
Legolas smiled in return, "I guess that I will have to always be there to rescue you then."
