Chapter 11: Movie Night

*Kaylee's POV*

When Ash told me that he was gonna invite some of his other friends over to watch the movie too, I got instantly nervous and tried to come up with a excuse to why I couldn't stay.

"Oh um Guys? Oh I just remembered I have to 'go home and um feed my dog!" I said nervously. Yeah it wasn't the best excuse but I didn't know how many people were coming and what if they don't like me? What if they're mean to me?

However, Ashton convinced me to stay, saying that there was only one guy I didn't know that was coming, some guy named Cal.

About a half an hour later, I heard the front door to Ashton's house open and loud male voices talking from downstairs.

"Well, that'll be them," Ash says, "come on". He tries to get up off his bed, but I still see him slightly wincing in pain from his bruises.

"Here let me help you" I told him as I grabbed his arm helping him up.

"Thanks" he says.

When we get downstairs I see Michael and Luke with another boy already on the sofa, messing around. They didn't even notice us come downstairs they were too busy arguing over what kind of pizza they should order.

"Hey guys" Ashton speaks up.

"Hey Ash! You didn't tell me you had a girl over" the tan skinned one who I'm guessing is Cal spoke up while wiggling his eyebrow.

"Yeah, Kace meet Calum, Cal this is Kaylee but usually I just call her Kace" Ashton says as he introduces us.

I give Calum a weak smile and small wave as he gets off the couch to come shake my hand.

"Nice to meet you Calum" I politely say.

"You too Kaylee, but call me Cal" he says.

"Alright then Cal."

"And Kace you already know lukey pukey and Mike over here" Ashton says.

I receive a "hey Kace" and a "hi Kaylee, nice to see you again"

I don't understand why these boys are being so nice? Maybe they're just mocking me or setting me up... I don't know but if they're genuine I could get used to this.

After the boys decided which kind of pizza they wanted, an extra large cheese, extra large meat lovers and a set of wings, Luke suggested we watch a movie.

"I'm in! What do you guys wanna watch?" Michael says.

"Why don't we let Kace here decide, she is the guest after all" Ashton says while flashing me a smile.

They all turn their heads to me, waiting for an answer.

Naturally, I get really nervous and look down to the carpet I was sitting on in Ash's room. "Can we watch like an action movie or a thriller or something?" I ask, not wanting to watch a chick flick or anything sad.

"Sounds good, how about the avengers?" Ashton asks excitedly.

Everyone just nods in agreement.

The tv in Ashton's room is across from his bed, so him, Luke and Cal position themselves comfortably on the bed while Mike just sits in a bean bag on the floor.

Unsure of where to sit, I just sit down at the foot of Ashton's bed, facing the tv.

"Oi, boys move over to make room for Kace!" Ash says.

"N-no it's ok, I'll be more comfortable on the floor..." I trail off.

"You sure?" Asks Luke.

"Positive" I say.

I pop in the DvD and we start to watch the film.

About 20 minutes later, the doorbell rings.

"That'll be the pizza then" Ash says as he tries to get off the bed.

"Don't hurt yourself Ashton, I'll get it" I volunteer.

"Ok, here's some money for the pizza man" he says while passing me some bills.

"Food!" I hear the boys chant as I enter the room with the pizzas and wings.

Luke and Cal are now laying down on their stomachs with their heads at the food of the bed, near me.

Mike is still in his bean bag and Ashton hasn't moved from his position, except to grab some slices of pizza. He presses play on the film and it resumes.

About an hour into the film, I feel someone playing with my ponytail. I ignore it, thinking that I was just imagining things. But then I feel it some more and turn around.

I saw that Luke was playing with my hair and I give him a confused / creeped out look.

"Sorry, it just looked soft" he said.

"Oh" was all I could think of.

"Why is it green?" He bluntly asks me.

"Um, well, I don't really know. I was just bored of my natural colour I guess" I reply while biting my lip and turning back around to face the screen.

"I like it" Luke says as he whispers into my ear, sending chills down and spine.

I turn back around, about to say something back to Luke, but see Ashton glaring at us. I guess he's mad that we keep talking during the movie? I just ignore it and continue to watch the avengers.
