Chapter 12: Play me a song

I turn back around, about to say something back to Luke, but see Ashton glaring at us. I guess he's mad that we keep talking during the movie? I just ignore it and continue to watch the avengers.

When the film is over, I check my watch and it's about 1130 by now. My dad is still in Sam Diego, so not like he needs to worry that I'm still out. Though, usually he doesn't worry because I am known to take late walks to the park or wherever just to clear my mind.

As the credits roll up, I noticed that all the boys are sleeping. They all look so cute and peaceful, so I just let myself out of Ashton's house and walk home in the nice, cool night weather.

~~the next day (Saturday)~~

I woke up to the sound of rain outside my window. I take my phone to check the time on it, but realize I left it at Ashton's house last night!

I groan, realizing that I'll have to walk back over and get it later. But I need it today, I seriously cannot live without my "Gus" playlist on that phone.

I decide that today would be one of those days that I re-dye my hair. So, I grab the box of dye, mix the stuff together an apply to my hair. While I was buying this at the drugstore, it also came with a sample of a more marine blue dye. I decide to apply the blue to the tips of my hair, attempting to make an ombré-ish affect of teal an blue.

I then hop in the shower, washing the excess colour out and cleansing my body. My stomach growled, I realized I hadn't eaten anything since lunch yesterday, I didn't have any pizza last night. I didn't like to eat in front of other people.

I grabbed an apple then continued on with my morning routine, drying and styling my hair. Then doing my makeup, some foundation, eyeliner with the ends slightly flicked out and some black mascara to blacken and elongate my lashes.

I then chose some comfy jeans, a hoodie, since it was raining and some pleather ankle booties. I grabbed An umbrella and headed my way over to Ashton's to retrieve my cell.

I knock on the door and Luke answers, I guess they ended up sleeping over last night.

"Hey Kace, you weren't here when we woke up? You didn't even say good-bye.." Luke says.

"Yeah well you guys fell asleep during the movie so I just let myself out" I say as we enter the kitchen where the other boys were.

"You could've just stayed" Ash says.

"I didn't want to intrude" I reply.

"Nah it's fine, next time you can just stay" he says.

Next time? Is he implying that we are all going to hang out again? I hope so, I felt oddly comfortable around these boys...

"So do you want some lunch? We made some Kraft dinner... The only thing we know how to make?" Cal says.

"No thanks, I actually just came to get my phone, I guess I left it here last night" I reply.

"Oh right" Calum says as he smirks at the other boys. What was that about?

"I'll go get it" Ash says. I guess he's feeling much better today.

Ashton hands me my iPhone with a house grin on his face. I never noticed he had dimples until now. I was always a sucker for dimples.

"What?" I ask him.

"Oh nothing" he says whilst chuckling.

I open my phone to see if they did anything to it. I had a pass code, but it was 0000. Not really that difficult to figure out. I couldn't figure out what the boys were all grinning about, but then I went into my pictures. Oh boy. They had all taken turns taking selfies of themselves. There were over a 1000!

"Oh my god you guys these are going to take forever for me to delete!" I shrieked at them.

"But aren't they so pretty?" Luke asks while trying to look innocent.

"Mmm-hmm" I reply sarcastically, " just beautiful".

I logged onto my twitter, to see if the had written any statuses or I followed anyone. To my surprise, I had gained 5 followers.

"Did you guys follow me on twitter?" I asked.

"Yeah" mike says.

I looked at their names, @Ashton5sos, @Luke5sos and the same for cal and Mikey.

"Um guys what's with the 5sos after all your names?" I asked.

"Oh well remember when I told you we were in a band?" Luke says. I do vaguely remember them mentioning something about a band last night.

"Yeah?"

"Well our band name is 5sos, it stands for 5 seconds of summer" Luke continued.

"Oh, nice?" I say. I didn't really low what to reply to that.

"Guys! We should play her something!" Calum says excitedly.

"Yeah ! Lets go!" Ash says as he grabs my hand pulling me upstairs and the other boys following us.

It's weird to say this, but when Ash took my hand, I felt like something weird in my stomach. Like almost like I was about to throw up, but in not a gross way.

When we got into Ashton's room, he let go of my hand and say on this box thing.

"What do you boys want to play?" Ash asks.

"How about our newest?" Luke says.

"Alright, Kace this one is called Gotta Get out," Ashton says," hope you like it" he winks.

There it is again. That feeling in my stomach. I've never felt this before what is happening?

The boys start playing their song. It was the acoustic version and what can I say? I was a sucker for acoustic.

During the song I don't really know where to look so I mainly just focus on Ashton's hands drumming on the box. It was really cool.

I didn't even notice that the song was over, I had kind of zoned out, even though they were good.

"Ok we know Ashton has a nice crotch but stop staring" someone whispered in my ear.

It was Luke. I instantly feel myself blush.

"Um, actually I wasn't looking there I just thought the drumming was cool" I say to Luke while slightly stuttering my words.

"I know, I'm just kidding." Luke winks.

I look up at Ashton and he's smirking at me. Great, does everyone think I was staring at his crotch? Ugh!

"Well, what did you think?" Cal asks.

"You guys were actually pretty good!" I say.

"Did you think we were gonna suck?" Ashton asks teasingly.

"No, I just didn't know what to expect" I reply."but you guys were good!"

"Thanks!" Cal beamed, obviously proud of their band.

The rain had gotten louder and heavier and it started to get really dark out, even though it was only 3pm.

"Um, is it ok if I stay here for a little longer?" I ask Ashton. " I really don't want to walk back home in that" I say as I point outside.

"Yeah sure, no problem. I mean we're all friends now anyways. You're welcome to stay" he says.

My heart sort of did little flip flops when he said that we were all friends. I was so excited to have friends again, you can only go to the movies and to the park so many times before you feel like a loner. And tumblr can only entertain for so long.
