My ears kept popping on the way up. It amazed me how such a big plane as this could stay up in the air like this. Just to think that if there was even a pin size hole in the plane wall that we would all die quicky.
Going through cusoms was so weird. I had never seen so many people in one place. It was incredible. On the way here in the taxi we passed by the planes. I had never seen a plane up close.
All this was new to me. Nearly took my breath away just thining about every thing and seeing it all. Maybe this could be a chance for me to change. Maybe get a temporary job and make some money and buy my self some nice clothes. That's what I was going to do.
The plane light came on saying to put our belts back on. I had been on the plane for almost a long three hours now. I don't think I have ever sat this long. Even at school we got up and moved around. My seat was next to the window. Seeing the clouds makes me want to reach out and touch them. The seat next to me was thankfully not taken.
My family was probably already waiting for me. I could barely stay in my seat. I was pumped full of excitement. Who wouldn't be though if they were getting to see their family for the first time and this part of their family loved and cared for them.
My guess is there is an half hour until landing.
I could start to make out what looked to be land. The closer we got the more I pressed my face to the cold window to see what was below. I think I can see the ocean. If it is it is a really dark blue and it stretches on forever.
After A long ten minutes I walked off the plane and into a crowd of people. Now to find my family. I didn't know exactly what to look for. A few minutes passed by and I tried to remember the picture of my aunt and cousin that i had studied for so long.
"MacKenzie? Is that you dear?"
I looked around to find my aunt Bonnie grinning at me like crazy while waving me over. Excitement and nerves bubbled inside me, but there's no going back now.
