Daryl's POV

Cherokee is six months old when one cold winters night, she's burning up with a fever of 102 degrees.

"Merle will you please come watch Delilah??" I ask over the phone.

"What's wrong Daryl?? It's three in the morning."

"We have to take Cherokee to the emergency room. Please hurry."

"Is she okay?? What happened??"

"We don't know. She has a fever of 102 degrees." I say pacing the length of Cherokee's small bedroom.

"I'm on my way, be there in ten."

"Thanks Merle." I say hanging up the phone.

"Dare what do I do?? Bella ask her voice shaky.

"Go get dressed I will stay with her."

"Okay."

A few minutes later Merle knocks on the door.

"Is Delilah awake??" Merle ask

"No, we didn't want to wake her up, just for her to worry."

"What do I tell her if she wakes up??"

"That we had to take Cherokee to the ER, and we will be back soon."

"Call me when you find out what's wrong."

"Will do." I say picking Cherokee up taking her to the car, buckling her in.

"Feel better sweetie." Merle says leaning in the backseat kissing Cherokee on her forehead.

"Bye Merle, thanks for watching Delilah." Bella says out the open window as we pull out of the drive way.

"No problem sis."

Daryl's POV

At The Hospital

After what seemed like forever, "Cherokee Dixon??" A nurse calls.

When we get back to a room the nurse starts to ask questions, "how old is Cherokee??"

"Six months old."

"What seams to be the problem tonight??"

"She has a fever of 102."

"How long has she had this fever?? And have you given her anything for it??"

"We first noticed it about four or five hours ago. We gave her children's tylenol as soon as we noticed the fever." Bella answers

"Has she had any other symptoms?? Coughing, wheezing?? Anything like that??

"She had both wheezing and coughing, but we thought she was just getting a cold."
