( Chapter 1 )

Daryl's Pov.

Bella left 2 1/2 hours ago to pick Delilah up from daycare, she should be back by now, it's only a 30 minute trip, I'm starting to get really worried.

Ring ring,

I answer my phone, "Is this Daryl Dixon??" a lady ask,

"This is he." I answer.

"I need you to come to Grady Memorial Hospital your wife and daughters have been in a accident."

"I'm on my way." I say hanging up the phone and grabbing my keys, I run jumping in my truck, speeding all the way to the hospital.

At Grady Memorial Hospital

Daryl's Pov.

I run to the nurses station, and yell "Annabella Dixon is she okay??"

"We won't know anything till she is out of surgery."

"Surgery??"

"Your wife was shot in the stomach."

"What about my daughters Delilah and Cherokee, are they okay??

"They will be fine, they just have a few bumps and bruises." Lucy said.

"Can I see them??" I ask.

"Of course sir, they are in the playroom, go to the 4th floor and take a right it's the 4th door on the left."

"Thank you ma'am." I say walking to the elevators. I get to the play room and open the door, I see my girls sitting in the corner playing with dolls. "Delilah, Cherokee." I call out to them. They turn around and run to me smiling.

"Daddy your here." Delilah says.

"Are ya'll okay??"

"We're okay, but mommy didn't look so good, I'm worried about her daddy." She said.

"I am worried about her too sweet heart." I say.

"I love you daddy." Delilah said kissing me on the cheek.

"Me wuv daddy." Cherokee said kissing me on the cheek, copying her sister.

"I love y'all too." I say gently kissing them on the forehead.

Knock knock.

"Come in." I say.

"Hi I'm doctor Matt Burns, are you Mr. Dixon??"

"Yes sir, how's my wife??" I ask.

"Can we step outside??" He ask.
I walk out the door not saying anything.

"Well sir your wife sustained very serious injuries from the gunshot wound and the car crash, but the surgery went well and I think she's going to be fine."

"When can we see her??"

"In a little while, she is in recovery right now."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

~3 days later~

Daryl's Pov

Bella's going to be fine, and the police just got a match to the serial number on the gun that shot Bella, the gun belongs to a guy named Philip Blake.
