“What?” I say with a really confused look.
“Did I stutter?” he shoots back.
“I’m not kissing you.”
“You will if you want me to let go of you.” He says as he tightens his grip on my hips. I don’t know what to do so I just glare at him. Just then, my phone starts ringing. I let out a sigh relief. I’m still straddling Harry but he manages to pull my phone out of his phone and looks at the caller id.
“Who’s Derek?” he says and my eyes go wide. I try to snatch the phone away but it doesn’t work. Harry answers and says, “Sorry mate, she’s with me today.” and hangs up. I get off of him and get my phone out of his hand. I send Derek a message apologizing for that incident and that I’ll call him up later tonight or when I have the time.
“Are you mad at me for answering that?” he says.
“No,” I laugh at him. “He’s just a friend.”
He raises an eye brow. “Really? Because the way you looked at me when I said his name states differently.”
“He’s someone I hook up with sometimes.” I blurt out. Harry was about to say something but the door opens and Andrew comes inside. He stops his tracks and looks at me to Harry and back to me.
“Uh, hi.” He says to Harry.
“Hey.” Harry responds back.
“What are you both doing here?” says Andrew suspiciously.
“We had a class together and I decided to invite him over. Like you said, I have to get to know him better.” I quickly say.
Andrew checks his watch. “You’re not even supposed to be here until like 4:30 pm at least. It’s 2:15 pm.”
“Well….” I stall.
Andrew groans. “Don’t even make an excuse up. You skipped your classes your first day of school.”
“That’s not true; I attended one class out of four. That counts for something right?” I say with a smile.
“I just came by to drop my books and head out to meet with the guys. Harry are you coming?” says Andrew.
“Yeah, I’ll go.” Harry says. Andrew nods and goes into his room and comes out a moment later. “I’ll deal with you later.” scowls Andrew. I just laugh at him as he and Harry leave the apartment.
Harry’s P.O.V.
I get inside Andrew’s car and we drive off. The drive is pretty quiet after he says that we’re meeting the guys at Buffalo Wild Wings, a restaurant that I’ve never heard of but he says they have pretty good food there and the place is packed with a bunch of televisions with sports on them. I’m quite glad the drive isn’t all that quiet because he has some indie radio station on and I’m drumming to a song on my lap. Andrew makes a slow stop at a red traffic light and lowers the volume of the music.
“Is there something going on between you and Cameron?” he says.
“What?! No.” I say quickly.
“It’s okay to tell me. I’m not her dad or guardian. I don’t control what she does or who she dates”
“We’re not dating. She just invited me over to watch a movie.” I say. This is so fucking awkward, I just want jump out of the car and roll away.
“You have to watch yourself around her, okay?” he says in a serious tone.
“I’m not trying anything.” I say defensively. That’s a total lie.
The red traffic light becomes green and Andrew drives again. He shakes his head and says, “That’s not what I’m saying. I’m talking about her. She’s… manipulative. She makes you think you’re special and says all this stuff to get what she wants. How I know this? She tells me this because she thinks it’s funny. It’s not. It’s awful.” Andrew makes a left turn and I see our destination straight ahead.
“What do you mean?” I say curiously.
“Harry, trust me when I say you have just stay friends with her, especially since you’re part of this group. You don’t want to mess up the group do you?” he says, parking his car.
“No…” I hesitate to say.
“Good. That’s also why the guys haven’t and will not try anything with her because they know they way she works with guys.” He says. We get out of the car and make our way to the restaurant.
“And what if I do want to try something on her?” I challenge him.
“What do you mean? Do you want to get with her?” he says.
“Yeah.”
He sighs. “Do whatever you want, I can’t say no.”
“So you wouldn’t mind?” I smile at him.
“Fuck, Harry. I’m not like an ex boyfriend. I’m her cousin. Not that she even have exes. She doesn’t date.” He says and then tells the host that we are with a group already and she leads us to a table where I see Niall, Zayn, Louis and Liam.
“And anyway, if you do decide to get with Cameron… maybe she’ll get a taste of her own medicine.” says Andrew.
