It’s been a couple of week since that unexpected encounter happened. For quite some time, Ling found tranquility and peace without Jeron’s presence being felt. She believed she already get over from it.
As expected, Elizabeth and Martin weren’t informed. Ling requested to keep everything as a secret. She doesn’t want her parents to worry about it. Although Elizabeth and Martin have been sensing that something’s not in place, the couple managed not to further ask to avoid any misunderstanding.
On the other hand, Von, who extremely witnessed everything that happened, decided to stay at home and leave his unit for a while to look for Ling. In fact, the two have been always together since then. They leave the house together in the morning and in the afternoon Von will always drop by at the SGV building to pick her up. As usual, Von will be her savior. He will do everything for her to forget and finally moved on.
“Who’s that?” Ling sluggishly asked who was certainly awakened by the disturbing knocked on her door.
“Wake up twin we’re all going out today!” Von, knowing that Ling was finally awake rushed inside his room and started to prepare.
On the other hand, after hearing Von’s broadcast, Ling immediately went inside the shower and prepare. Though clueless, she decided to move ahead without any single question coming from her.
In just an hour, everybody was already inside the car except for Ling.
“Hurry up Ling they’re all waiting inside the car.” Manang Conching knocked on Ling’s room.
After a minute, Ling bid farewell to Manang and immediately proceed outside. She was about to enter the car when Von noticed something about her twin sister.
“Where’s the bracelet?” Ling looked in her arms. Elizabeth also noticed that her daughter is not wearing her engagement ring but failed to ask since Ling hurriedly went back in her room to get the bracelet Von was pertaining to, and most probably, the ring.
As Ling returned, Elizabeth wasn’t able to further notice the absence of her daughter’s engagement ring. Ling sits beside Von while her parents in front.
While off the road, Von and Ling are busy playing with their respective gadgets. Not until Ling received a call from Peter, reminding her about the upcoming second meeting with their current client’s CEO. It took her about fifteen to twenty minutes before the call ended, and by that time, they we’re already looking for a parking area for the car.
As they all moved out from the car, Elizabeth leads the group inside the mall. While on their way, Von and Ling were still negotiating on their next play-off on Candy Crush. On the other hand, Elizabeth was busy talking to someone on her phone.
As usual, since it was Sunday, it was absolutely a family day. Elizabeth called a reservation for five last Thursday at Nessie’s Dinner. As usual, if it’s all about family date, Elizabeth will always be the expert.
As the crew carefully served the foods, everybody was having fun especially when Von started to make fun of one of his professor. While Von eagerly mimicked his professor, Elizabeth can’t help but wonder why her daughter wasn’t wearing the engagement ring. Although sensing that something’s really not right, she ignored it and savored the moment with the family.
As they finally started eating, Von, from time to time, can’t help but glance at Ling who seemed doing well after everything happened. He was slightly assured that Ling have finally moved on. He was just in fact happy not seeing her in such a miserable state because of that horrible Jeron Teng. But then, it doesn’t make him stop from thinking the why of such act. Von believed there must be something very significant for that. He knew how Jeron loved her sister more than himself and therefore, there must be something really bad happening to him. He’s not just sure what it is.
