Mitchell dropped me back off at my room by 11:45 where I eagerly awaited Dalton to return from rehearsal. He walked in and he asked if I went on the tour. "Yes, thank you," I told him. "Cool," he said, "did you get to pick a song?" I nodded as I handed him the lyrics. "Nice," he said.
We worked on the words for awhile and he complimented my voice. We worked on dynamics and other technical things. He gave me his whole vocal coach talk. He then recommended we record it and put it on youtube. I jumped on the opportunity. After about an hour more working on it, he brought out the camera.
We sang the words and it sounded magical. Every lyric rang true to me, because I felt that way towards him, and he just might feel the same towards me. We watched the recording and I stared more at Dalton than the actual recording itself. "Awesome," he congratulated. He made simple edits and within minutes it was accessible to the world. Within seconds his phone buzzed with notifications of comments, likes, etc. Then my phone buzzed.
I got an alert from Twitter of Dalton's newest tweet. "Pleasure to work with Ally, a big fan of mine. Please check this out. She's so talented." I went to the link and sent it to all my friends. The comments were coming one after one. She's so pretty, she sings so nice, is she your girlfriend? All these comments about me. I felt really cool. Then, without a second thought, I went over to Dalton and embraced him in a warm hug. "Thank you... for everything," I told him. He patted my back and I felt him breathing on my neck. I didn't want to let go.
