"Be safe sweetie. We will see you soon," my mom kissed me on my forehead as she loaded the last of my bags into the limo that Dalton sent for me. Then my father approached. "Don't do anything stupid. Stay away from strangers. Speak only to people from the sho--," my dad ordered but I interrupted him quickly. "Daddy, I'm fine. I'm almost nineteen. Lighten up," I pleaded. He nodded as my mom agreed. They closed the door to the automobile and I drove away.
We quickly arrived at the airport in about half an hour. I waited on the check in line, went through security, and then waited to board the plane. I felt so excited but nervous at the same time.
Along my flight, the friendly skyscrapers faded away as I flew through Oregon then California. In Salem, the flight attendees came around and I bought a sandwich for lunch. Later, the pilot announced we were an hour away. I got out my phone and texted Dalton.
Hey Dalton. It's Ally. About an hour away. So psyched! :)
Hey Ally, I'm leaving my hotel in a little bit. See you then!!Two exclamation points! He sent me two exclamation points! Was he as excited as I was? I had no idea. About half an hour later, I went to the lavatory where I put on fresh makeup and prepared for my first encounter with Dalton ever. By the time I was done, we were required to sit down for landing. I was as anxious as could be and I took my seat, awaiting the moment I would finally meet Dalton.
After we landed I grabbed my polka dot suit case, adjusted my blue shorts and straightened out my gray Fly Away Hero shirt. I ran my fingers through my long, brunette, straight hair, and fixed my white converse because someone behind me stepped on the back of my shoe accidentally. I felt confident and ready to meet Dalton. As I exited the terminal, there was Dalton standing there, with his glistening smule, baby blue eyes, and a sign that said Ally Jones.
