Over the next few days, Dalton and I really got to know each other. We were so alike but different. We were going on another date to a local restaurant that night. We went there roughly around 7pm. We took a booth and ordered our meals. We just talked and talked and I felt we were really bonding. Then the incident happened. "Wait, you don't like Blue October?" he said. "Go back home, I'm done." "What, I have to like the same music as you," I asked. "Yes," he said jokingly. However, I don't why, but I tool that to heart.
"Thanks for everything but I'm leaving. Joking or not joking I'm leaving," I hollered. "Sure you are," he teased. "I am!" I said as I ran out of the restaurant. He ran after me. "Oh, so you're that kind of person. Can't even take a joke. Leave then, I don't care. I don't need a lamo like you dragging me down," he shouted. I started to cry. "Bye Dalton! I don't care if I ever see you again!' He just stood there sulking and then turned to go back inside to pay for our half eaten food.
As I arrived at the hotel, I was abruptly stopped by Mack. "Hey Ally. Oh, uh, you look sad," he noticed. I let out a huge sob. Just then Dalton walked in looking defeated. Mack glanced at him then went to hug me. "It's okay," he comforted. "Been better," I told him. "If you need me you know where to find me," he said. "Thanks," I responded as I walked back to my room.
