I gasped. 'No!!'
'Who is it?' I stepped out of the shadows. 'Rose.' I really loathed this man. 'I thought we told you to stay upstairs. Anyway, we can go back up together. After all your boyfriend here has sold your soul to the devil.' My boyfriend. Was Hunter my boyfriend. No! No, he wasn't. Boyfriends don't sacrifice their love like that. I looked at him, hurt by the deal made, questioning his actions.
'Get away from me you creep! I'm not going anywhere.' 'Your an stubborn one, aren't you. Fine! We'll just drag you.' He muttered something in Italian to his men. The next thing I knew was that I had to run.
They all came for me as I raced through the halls. I was back in the complex maze as I ran endlessly without any direction. Great! A man had come from the other side, while I ran in the other direction. I honestly didn't understand where I was going. I ended up in a long corridor, taking the left. A man came out from there. He suddenly grabbed me, as he yonked me to the ground. I tried to release myself, however his arms had me pinned. He was still holding me, when I noticed that he was dragging me near a table. I decided to release my body free, while he continued dragging me. When I got the chance, I quickly grabbed the antique statue and hit him on the head forcefully. The weight around me collapsed, as he fell to the floor. I took another statue and hit him again. He was gone. I quickly rushed past into the front entrance. The front door was luckily open, as I barged out foolishly. There was a man already standing outside, with a gun in his hand. He pointed it at me, as I stood terrified.
There was noise of tyres screeching, as an old car emerged in front. I watched as the driver opened his window. There was a immeadiete shot. The man before me looked the other way, as he dodged the incoming bullet perfectly. The driver motioned me to move, as I quickly came towards him. Although there was showering of bullets, the man was already hit, as I quickly entered the car. Before he raised his gun again, the driver got us out in time.
I couldn't see him properly, since I was at the back. He focused intensely on the road before him. I could only see his form but not his features. 'Thanks for saving my life.' 'No worries, Rose.'
'You?!'
---------------------------------------------------------
'Where do you think your taking me?' 'Somewhere safe.' 'Yeah as if I'm safe with you. The last thing I heard was that you were willing to let that bastard have his way with me. Safe is not even a word in your bloody dictionary.' 'Rose. It was all part of the plan. You were supposed to run away anyway. I only did that to distract him.' 'Yeah sure! Besides are you really my boyfriend?' Hunter sighed. 'Really. Do we have to go through this again?' 'Because if you were my boyfriend, you wouldn't have put me through in a situation like that.' 'Why are you acting so weird. And what exactly is this antidote?' 'Give it! Do you have it?' 'Yes, I had to divert his attention somehow.' 'What are you waiting for, Christmas Eve? Give it to me!' 'Wait. We'll go eat first. You must be so hungry. Then you can take it.' 'No!' 'Rose!' He gripped the steering wheel tightly. 'Please. Just listen to me for once.' Well what else could I have done.
I decided to take a nap for sometime. In the blackness of my mind, a familiar scary face appeared as he threw my body onto the bed violently. He had a silver pointed knife in his hands as he ripped my clothes apart. He slowly attacked my bare skin, as he slashed me over and over again. I let out an blood curdling scream. 'Rose.' He halted the car. I held onto my chest, trying to control my breathing. 'What happened?' I looked around my surroundings. There were cars everywhere, mostly yellow taxis all lined up together. I noticed that we were sandwiched between yellow cabs and other cars. There were billboards everywhere, as lights flashed in all directions. No fool would not know that this was Times Square. And that we were in the heart of New York City.
