A different waiter retuned with 10 menus. I honestly wasn't sure how they were going to fit us all in the restaurant was so small. There was a couple sat in the corner on their own but apart from them and the staff we were the only ones there and there still didn't seem to be enough room to put the tables together.
"Okay so here are you menus," he said handing them around, " if you don't mind waiting 2 minutes we'll just rearrange some tables for you." He said heading off to sort out the tables.
Everyone was browsing the menus.
"You know I really have missed you Jess," riker said nervously almost as if he was leading on to something,
" I've missed you too, but you know this will never work," I sighed
"Well about that I know it's a big commitment but I was wondering if you wanted to come back with us, we have two spare rooms for you and Rebecca"
"For how long?" I asked curious about this idea.
"I was thinking a month," we walked over to our table where I sat opposite to him," but I mean if you like it..." He trailed off, I knew what he ment.
"But Riker what a-" I got cut off
"Can I take your orders?" The waitress asked starting at the other end.
"We'll get back to this okay " I said raising my eyebrows.
She finally came down to us,
" hi I'm i'll have the meat feast platter with a side of fries and a Sprite," he said without hesitation,
"And for you Madame?" She asked,
I knew what I was having before I'd come in there's no way I'd miss out on the best ca-
"She'll have the carbonara and cherry cola" he winked at me.
"Right now tell me how you've remembered my favourite dish AND drink after all the time?" I asked him
"The little things Jessica may Carler," he said with a smirk,
"Oh we're going formal now Riker Anthony lynch?" I laughed.
