Clara (pov)

I has been two days but it really feels like a year. I want out of the damn hospital. Danny took lily home yesterday, when he came back he was holding a box. My box. The one that contained every letter, gift and on about 7 flash drives with our video chats. But what surprised me the most was inside my box were two little ones. Like they could hold earrings or rings. I pick up the first one and open it. Inside was a ring with two stones on them. One was green. Another was crystal blue. Danny came over and took it from the box. "I was going to come home and give this to you for your 18th birthday but, I never got around to it when my private was killed in action." he turned it over and brought it to my face. I took it from him and look inside the ring. On the band was an engraving. "Navy's girl" I look at him with awe. How the hell he knew everyone from this town calls me that i have no clue. 

"Your brother told me. He said once i left everyone started calling you that. Even when you got together with....." I put my hand on his mouth so he wouldn't say his name. I dont want to hear his name ever again. "Don't ever say his name. Please?" He nodded. I took my hand off. I scooted over in my bed and he crawled in. I put my head on his chest and immediately i calmed down. "You know i loved you when i was with him. I didn't want to go out with him i just wanted to get him to stop asking me. So i finally did. But when i went to break up with him because he told me i couldn't be friends with you anymore.  He hit me with his beer bottle." I started to cry. "clara you don't need to tell me any more." He kissed my head and i nodded. 

"There is a diary i kept. Tomorrow i want you to go home into my closet and look in my blue dress and inside on the hanger is my diary. I wrote to you in that book. I told you everything that was happening so i want you to read it then tell me what you think." He didn't say a word. He just lifted my head and looked into my eyes. "I love you so much baby girl. I didn't even know this kind of love existed." I smiled and kissed him softly on the lips. "I love you more Daniel. When you were away i was afraid of that car driving up my drive way and telling me you were gone. But i kept saying 'i love him so much If he loves me too he will come back to me' I said that every night." he just stared at me then he kissed me with love but also with lust. We break apart and he takes the box from my lap and puts it on the table. "Go to sleep i will be right here when you wake up." I stare at him this sounds so familiar. "promise" He nods and presses a kiss to my temple. "promise" 

Hey guys. So sorry its a little short. But i have a reason for that. the next chapter is going to be longer than my other ones.
